Edit: Really hope he's ok, I'd have to imagine maybe a concussion was the result.  It would have to be bad enough knowing that skipping a race very well could end his title hopes already. At least it appears very temporary so we can still see some great battles moving forward.

Is it me or does it seem like riders will bow out for the smallest thing now? One week in and he’s gonna sit out cause he doesn’t feel 100%???? 
What happened to the riders that would race the whole season with broken wrists or be back 1 week after a collar bone plate?

Terrible take when you have no clue what happened. Maybe he rung his bell, people know a lot more about concussions today than in the past. Smart move not wanting to end up like Dave Mira, even if some anonymous people on the internet think you are a 🐱 

Oh and this news sucks, hopefully DF can pick up the pace sooner than later to give Jett a little competition

Unfortunately, even if he comes back at Lakewood, I doubt we get a summer of great races between Jett and Chase. Jett has shown maturity beyond his years and would be plenty happy to stack second places if he needed to win a championship. If Jett hangs a 1-1 on them this weekend, I don't think we see him push it all summer. He will win when he can but not be willing to throw it away to win. 

Can we combine the 250s into the 450s?  At least that would provide some racing.  Ha

Mono could put him out the season..... or he could just rupture his spleen next time he hits the ground like he did at pala.... 

Curious if he was actually symptomatic or if they just shotgunned a bunch of tests and he came back positive for EBV?

Wait, I thought only SX caused all the injuries and riders being out in our sport.......J/K... I digress

Sucks monkey balls for Chase as well as us fans.  Glad he's doing the right thing though and holding out until he gets the all clear to race.  No sense in risking anything long term.  Both concussions and mono can turn serious.  Best to rest up and live to ride another day.

You think he's scared of Jett? We all know at this point how dangerous it is riding when you haven't recovered from ringing your bell. Just man up durrrr!

Herlings has come back to winning championships after much worse, it is just one race..  Sheesh, the doom and gloom of this joint lately   "let's just throw in the towel now, after the 1st round"  Shit, do we remember even as far back as 3 weeks ago in Denver??
