The stark was set to be delivered in sept 22 , its may 23 , 18months isn't the correct gap ...

By that idea triumph is like 4 years behind already....so much false information put out by biased individuals that are basically scared of a future they hoped would not come.

The same people said it would not do 4 Laps without overheating ,yet they are suddenly very quiet on that .....how can you trust the opinion of someone that continues to get all the facts wrong ?

I wish I could filter this thread by contributor. I just keep scrolling until I see another post by Brian for some updates/new info. Keep it coming, bike looks great and good to see the performance living up to the hype!

E bikes have been 'good' in the performance and dynamics sense for well over 140 years; longer than combustion bikes. The Alta showed that it had good performance recently.

It is the major shortcomings of the range/weight/cost/convenience equation that has lead all to fail; and while they were alive, to be, basically, niche novelties.

On trajectory I think the Stark will be the same. 18 months in and no bikes delivered to ordinary customers.  Fancy gold leaf logos and CNC routed Swedish conifer timber tool boxes to one special dude are no substitute for hundreds of machines delivered, well at least to me that is. ;-)

So close, so close. You almost had it. I like how you started off with a whiff of consolation, capitulation even. Then in the middle, a calmly-worded casting of concerned doubt followed by a deftly-delivered glancing blow of condescension. It's in the last where it all goes sideways. You begin to sound petty and small, an inevitability where you're concerned I suppose, but it's the hopelessly feckless "at least to me" finish where it all goes so terribly, terribly, wrong.

Concentrate more on finishing strong, Goldmember, for surely you of all people must know, there are barbarians at your gate, and the entire future of motocross rests on your ability to persuade them to surrender to your will.

I stopped lurk reading around page 3 because of the neigh sayers, but has it been said if/when the next customers will get theirs? Are there any other customers on the forums with delivery dates? I want one based on all of the videos I've seen so far.

Okay Goldmember, I'm your huckleberry.

The MXA 450 shootout recently declared the 2023 Yamaha YZ450F as its winner. Therefore, one could certainly argue that this bike is currently "the best MX bike ever made."

Okay, fine - let's do that. What I'll do now is a quick 10 point comparison between that bike and the Stark Varg.

1. Which bike is produces virtually no noise and thus can be ridden stealthily?

2. Which bike will never, ever, find a false neutral on a jump face?

3. Which bike will never, ever, seize its motor on a steep downhill double?

4. Which bike has an endlessly adjustable torque curve and power delivery that can change from 1 horsepower to 80 - and everything in-between - in mere seconds?

5. Which bike requires less maintenance?

6. Which bike is easier to ride for anyone from a beginner to a pro?

7. Which bike feels lighter - not on a scale, but on an actual track?

8. Which bike requires less shifting?

9. Which bike has adjustable engine braking?

10. Which bike has more range?

Hmmm. Near as I can tell, the poor, hapless, Yammy went one-for-ten on my comparison test. Therefore, I do hereby confirm Wass' various statements as true and do now declare the Stark Varg to be, indeed, "the best MX bike ever made."

I have a Milwaukee M18 grinder that would beg to differ. That thing is seized tight. Probably exponentially less likely to happen, but like he said, anything that rotates has the ability to seize up

I’m still wanting to figure out how a Varg or Alta would fit into my riding habits. The kids would probably adapt immediately if the power curve is as adjustable as stated, I think it’d be a blast for me either racing or trail riding. My big question is recharging while camping with generators. Is there any concerns beyond firing up the Honda 3000 and plugging it in for an hour? If it’s charging and someone uses the microwave, will a sag in voltage cause any issues?

It’s still early in the product release cycle, maybe Bryan doesn’t know yet? I just think the Stark is really cool and I want to know how it’s gonna perform with real world situations, out in the campsites and the trails where a whole lot of people ride.

It’s so crazy that the real first ride, actual real ride we get to see is from a consumer. Nothing really informative before,  just spend the money and hope it’s worth it. I don’t understand these company’s doing this. Transition MTBs did the same thing with their newest E bike the relay, just expected all these orders without even really showing consumers any real info first. But I’m glad you like it Bryan, it looks cool.

And why would you need a new battery after 230 hours? Even if you‘d charge it after every 20 min moto, you still wouldn’t be close to the number of charge cycles you have to worry about battery degradation.

Don't kid yourself. There have been no tests at all on the key factors concerning range and heating.

All we have are some chaperoned soft, ride impressions.

This machine is touted as the best MX bike ever built. He needs hard tests.

As of now it is just an expensive, one of, toy that has never been through an arduous duty cycle.

Non of those were any kind of test, basically just a basic look at it. From what I got from those anyway.

And the demand was much higher than Stark expected. I'm sure that there will be tests on the production bikes. I hope they are focused mostly on production right now.  I think its a 12-18 month wait if you were to place an order today for a Varg. They already can not build them fast enough with the current demand.   I'm sure that media will get to ride the production bikes soon enough.  At this point it seems like there people who do not believe the reviews are unbiased , and most people that do not feel that way are ok with the info from the early models.

Do you really have nothing better to do than repeat the same shit over and over and over in here?

We get it, you don't like it, you've proven that point.

Fact of the matter is you're probably too broke to buy one and too slow to worry about battery life anyway.

Move along little boy.

If you charge it after every 20 minute moto, that's 690 charge cycles after 230 hours, battery capacity would be reduced by 20%...

I find it puzzling that we're 4 weeks after production bikes started shipping, and I have not seen one media outlet, one dealer, or one customer other than Bryon say anything about it.   Surely they shipped more than just Bryon's bike. Where are they all?

Seriously. @ML can we please have a block user function on this forum? Its fucking annoying and ridiculous the amount of troll accounts that do nothing but post nonsensical, brain-dead responses in thread after thread. There are 6 accounts I would block immediately if I could on here. It is turning into facebook on here.

That's because the guy is being paid by Stark to push the product. Never has vehicle #1 off any assembly line in history gone to a real customer. They go to the CEO or owner to lock away in a vault. Here they're claiming the #1 bike came off the assembly line and shipped to a normal customer? And at the same price as the 250th order? yeah okay.

Sounds like Bryan essentially has a beta release of the bike. Which is fine, but a little transparency from stark wouldn’t be the worst thing.

the bike does look super impressive.

Yeah! This would be worst case for a 230 hour old dirt bike that barely needs any maintenance. How awesome is that!

An ICE dirt bike with 230 hours of 20 min motos on it is toast even with proper maintenance.
