Man do I want old Forkner back. That speed and talent early on was incredible. I’m hoping he can stay healthy for an extended period here soon and do what Hunter has done after dealing with so much injury.

he never lost his speed. He lost the luck that he never had.
With so many injuries sustained by riders in the supercross meat grinder I will be very happy for many to return, Forkner included. Racing is always better with him in it.

I’d like to see him on a 450. Seems like when these guys are suppose to win a 250 championship and don’t bc of whatever reason they stall out. Look at j mart in the 250s. He should have moved up after his 2nd title.

I talked with his dad on Sunday. Austin is ahead of schedule as far as healing and hoping to get back on the bike in a few weeks. He was saying they will be missing some rounds to start the season but will be racing this season.

I think he makes a totally valid point. At that point in their careers, no one presumed Chase would have the results he does and Austin none.
Austin with and Chase without (round the other way), absolutely.

I think PC themselves need to take a look at their program, this many years, across so many riders, such "bad luck" no longer makes sense to me.
AC said on Pulp this week, his fast practice times are a hangover from PC days where that is the focus at the practice track. These days he is spending time at the practice track working for more consistency and long-term capability than pure outright speed. Or something like that....

Austin’s most recent wreck he was being careful and had been riding within himself leading up to that, trying to build back and get stronger. I know we don’t want to hear it, but sometimes things seemingly come out of nowhere.
Dude do you know the odds of being cross jumped over the finish line, then having a freak crash on the start straight, both of which ended his seasons with bad breaks that required surgery? Those are extremely rare in the sport. Hell, Chase was lucky when he yard saled over the bars several times in the last couple years. The sport is gnarly and luck plays a big part.
Despite what I wrote (now edited), totally agree with you. Sometimes shit just happens.

Since the jett incident. There has been 1 mx series. That he was zero chance of winning.
And this recent sx series that he crashed out on round 1.
So that leaves the series that the incident occurred. And if they both hopped up and continued. Jett easily had him handled that series. The race they crashed jett crashed on the start an had caught forkner in 7 laps.
Remember Hunters crash at A2 last year? He caught a break because the series went back east but he got away without serious injury. You never know what is going to put a rider out. Chase has been pretty lucky or he is just genetically tough.
It was not a ''freak crash''.
Austin could have backed down and prevented it.
The throttle works both ways.
