Hunter's gotta go 450 full time next year, right?

Mostly I just dont like the idea of anyone passing JS7 on the all time wins list for 250 SX.
Hes as dominant as almost anyone I've ever seen, he's 24 years old, and I really think he would be right up there straight away in the premier class.

Does he have to? No, he could defend. However, it’s very likely he’s moving up to a 450 alongside his brother.

When he came to the US and even before that he was pretty much always injured, always missed races, didn't finish seasons etc. The way he turned that around and to ride like he does now is absolute badass in my opinion.

I still wonder how he will do outdoors this year. I really thought he would be up there with Jett every round last year, but the second half of the season he looked off and frustrated. 250 field this year is far from weak with Vialle, Cooper and Shimoda. Gonna be good if he rides with the confidence he had during SX.

Would definitely be nice to see him on the 450 next year aswell, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they let him defend in SX and then move him up for outdoors

I agree, but I don’t think Honda does……

Keeping one of the brothers on a 250 gives them a shot at the 250 title. That’s how I see it.

I saw the logic in keeping Jett down for SX so he could defend, but Hunter is way more mature (As a person and on the bike) and his style would fit a 450 really well. Plus he will be 25 years old next year. It's not likes he's 18. Move him up.

I see it as winning half a championship.

If Sexton takes the #1 to KTM, would you rather have a guy capable of wins riding half the races while Nicholls struggles to make top 10 week in week out.

Not bagging on Colt, he is a great rider, he should go to HEP, to replace McElrath or Chiz, well worth a 450 ride, but not a factory HRC one.

I think his deal was SX only, he has time to heal up if that is the case

At least, defend 250 and ride 450 on the other coast. Another year of dominating isn’t going to help his trajectory. Love watching Hunter ride, this year he has been incredible. Really hope it translates to outdoors.

If Chase goes to KTM, does Honda want to win 3 SX titles and not get to show a #1 plate for any of them.

Is there talk that Sexton is going to KTM? Wouldn't that be funny? Roczen takes the #1 plate to Honda from KTM, then Sexton takes the #1 plate to KTM from Honda?

Jett vs. Hunter on 450s is going to be entertaining.

I just don't see the Hunter hype.  Craig handled him easily last year in sx. Zero wins in 2022 mx. Did good in SX this year against a weak field.  I do not see him ever being on his brother's level going forward.

He is as dominant as you have ever seen ? He won a east coast regional title. Did I miss something in his dominance somewhere?

He has quickly become overrated. He's a great rider and has a chance to really prove how good he is in nationals this summer, but let's be honest: 250 East was a very weak field. I mean, his closest competitor was Nate Thrasher, a guy who struggled to podium in his first couple of seasons.

Blah, blah, there's always talk of a weak field.

Who overated him, every year the championship leader gets all the attention.

These boys have also promoted themselves very well.

Btw, it's the media who shoves it down our necks.

You need to go back to the results because Craig definitely did not handle him easily. Craig was slightly better and more consistent but Hunter matched him pretty well.

He almost beat a prime AC9 in 250 MX on debut, this year is the year he finally got back to that form, Hunter is no joke.

Craig is a prime example of how much harder the 450 is. Watching Craig last year I thought he would be an instant podium threat in the 450 class and was not even close. If I were Hunter I would get that 250-win bonus and that championship bonus and to hell with what others think. This sport is brutal and a career only last for so long so I would make that easy money while I could. But yes personally I would like to see him on a 450.

Well golly Gee....then they won't be able to show him running down the tunnel from the broadcast booth during the 450 races to congratulate his brother.      Ya know how important it was to see him running down the tunnel during the 250 main and all.

Think of the loss of exposure time people.

I guess this is what FELD thinks "growing the sport" looks like, they already have you and the rest of the diehard fans they're just making narratives to keep the new audience engaged, I agree it's annoying but I guess it's just a part of it until the next marketable riders come  through.

Exactly. And Honda doesn't care who wins, as long as it's one of their guys.

They've got a chance to run the table this year with 250E, W, 450, and possibly both outdoor titles.

Why would HRC risk losing that to put themselves in a 3-way battle with themselves for the 450 outdoor title?

Ask yourself who the next fastest guy is on a Honda 250? Then you will understand why they're going to keep Hunter down in the 250s for another year.

Are you an angsty tween, what's with the high school grudge?

Just enjoy the show instead of wigging out it's better for the blood pressure.

Edit: ...and sorry, yes I was having a bit of a crack, but we get it, you don't like Hunter...but every second post?
