I know you’re supposed to ride on the balls of your feet but I’ve always kind of wondered about this kind of thing happening. Especially on hard hits or g-outs causing that full flexion 😫 I guess I’m that spode ripping on the arches of my feet lol

Half of the top ten in points not making it to the end of the season.  Phil is a wise man.

Tomac blew out his shoulders at Lakewood and now his Achilles tendon in Denver.  So weird that those are his worst injuries in his home state.  He’s always been my favorite and I think he’ll long be considered one of the all-time greats.

Well done Adam.

I was one of the doubters that wrote him off.

Well done.

it's so crazy that this happened to tomac at this time in his career. Dude has avoided major injury since 2015, hasn't missed a single championship, and to have it happen in the race before he wins the championship in one of his final seasons is just such a bummer... heartbreaking no matter who you're a fan of

Does a number 1 plate change the plans for HRC next year?

Man I was speechless after that race, really hate that for Tomac.

Chase earned this though he was in the hunt all year and seemed like last guy standing was going to win the way these injuries have been.

I mean Honda won 3 championships in two weeks, pretty wild.

This is how McElrath should've been riding all season. Why is he only just riding like this now?

He’s 20+ seconds off the lead, he is riding the same as always, there just isn’t anyone that normally is ahead of him still healthy so he is in 5th for that reason.

He was up there only 15 or so seconds off quite a ways through the race. Even when the field has been depleted he still hasn't been finishing close to this IIRC

Stoked for Adam, gutted for Tomac. Feel bad for Chase too because some will always say he was gifted the championship, even though that's not true. The most bizarre season I've ever witnessed.

Kind of in line with what happened this season. Kenny and AC, notorious for not finishing seasons, are two of 3 "factory" riders left standing

I think this is probably the worst timing for a major injury ever. I hate to admit how genuinely devastated I am. If Eli is gonna retire, it was a pleasure seeing him dominate for all these years.

Outdoors will be Sexton, Jett, Roczen and Plessinger.  Still pretty good racing hopefully...

Just fucking brutal for Tomac. We also have to give it up to Chase for staying in the fight, ignoring all the critics and doubters for his errors that cost him serious points. He stayed in it and got rewarded. Tough road for Tomac now, this is a tough injury to come back from-not so much to live a normal life, but to get back to elite Tomac and championship winning level-that is going to be a chew. Can he do it? I believe yes. Will he want to? Time will tell. I would love to see it but I ain't having to put in the rehab and the work to get back to the absolute top level he lives in-rarified air indeed.

Im just sitting here in disbelief... wow.. what an absolute bummer way to end this series. Tomac earned that title, but that's racing i guess. Brutal sport in so many ways...

I’m just in shock he blew out his Achilles tendon slightly OJ’ing into a Supercross rhythm. I’m mean, I know these dudes hit those jumps hard on super stiff suspension, so there’s so much force there. But what gets me is how subtle of a miscalculation that was for him and it caused major injury without even crashing?! Dam, some injuries actually are freak bad luck sometimes…

Can we start a petition to limit Super Death Cross to 12 rounds now?  Statistics show that the bodies of half  of the 10 best SX riders in the world can’t survive 17 rounds…

I thought Ricky's commentary on Tomac's injury and replay was well informed and compassionate. As much flak as he has taken on his broadcast, I think he did well tonite.

I think, unlike most of his commentary, that was real Ricky talking. A lot of his commentating seems to be him trying to be someone he's not, but he seemed to be speaking from the heart of a fan and fellow racer who, like many of us, was devastated at the sight he had just witnessed.

Crazy to think we are in a new era of racing. With Tomac done and soon to be Kenny, Webb, Anderson, Marv, Barcia, and a few others all the guys we’ve been watching for 10+ years will be retired. Time for the young bucks to shine.
