For how involved Kenny's agent is I wouldn't be surprised if Kenny didn't know what went into acquiring the bike, or whoever's bike it was. I highly doubt Roczen was personally calling around asking for a YZ250. I also wouldn't think he would ride Pings bike, if he had an issue with Ping. Ping says Kenny knew, I cant refute it, we will probably never know.

No idea why Kenny wouldn't just buy a bike, he could've probably gotten it done up for free, and sold it for a profit.

Overall I really enjoy the Whiskey Throttle show, even though I enjoy Ping less and less. I agree on some of his politics, not all, and I am even tired of hearing about the stuff I agree with. I intentionally avoid politics and its a slight bummer when I have to hear about it in a moto show, regardless of which way the politics are leaning. It also drives me nut when he added those other shows onto his feed, if I wanted to listen to them I would subscribe to them.

So you think he had no idea where the bike came from? Lol. Come on man. So just ride a random bike without asking who built it, where it came from. Not at that level without asking, trusting, knowing. Just say thanks. Simple.

The Bob Hannah episode.

https://youtu.be/vsw9qpxDBzw?t=7767

Hannah goes: "I'm surprised he didn't win with all those parts on there."

GL: "Well, they don't build 'em like they use to. Riders that is"

Ping: "He's German, you know? He's practically a nazi. How's he gonna win?"

That's a pretty fucked up statement. And it makes no sense no matter what the context.

I mean Pro Circuit built it, and he was probably told Pro Circuit built it. Ping wasn't in the garage doing head work. In Pings video he said he offered Jeremy Mallot (sp?) for someone to use the bike. It is feasible the he was told by Jeremy that they had a Pro Circuit YZ for him to ride and that was the end of it. Hell, Jeremy probably was in contact with Kennys agent, and not Kenny personally.

But I do agree with you that he should have thanked Ping if he did in fact know it was Pings bike.

If it went down exactly as Ping said, and that is a big IF, as I believe there are always 2 sides to the story.

frankly I would think KR is a flog too. But instead of just thinking he is a flog and dealing with it like an adult Ping goes full internet retard and starts accusing him of missing doping tests, not calling sources to get the story straight, now having little sooks on IG.
Ping needs to grow the fuck up.

I’m sure ping did a lot of running around, but do you think Ken actually had any idea? He gets told there is a bike to ride, ok cool, shows up and rides.

Ping upset he didn’t share or like any of the content lol. I’m pretty sure Ken isn’t scrolling through IG at ALL his mentions and likes and comments. Just the people that pay him, contractually. Especially after an event like that. It seems he picks when he wants to go on IG and fire some comments away, probably while he’s taking a shit. Then goes back to life.

He seemed to leave that event with a good relationship and a ton of respect for Mitch, he said he was so stoked to work with him. Some people leave an impact, some are roaches.

Ya you would think so, but if you look you'll find Kenny is plenty active on IG. 2022 Nationals meltdown would be a good start. Kenny knew damn well who put that bike together and did the testing. I'm not a fan of either guy, but you would be a fool to think Factory Honda Kenny is just gonna jump on a random bike without his team knowing everything about said bike. "Hey Kenny. We got a sweet Suzuki for you to race at Straight Rhythm. Just show up and your good to go."

"OK I'll be there!"

This is Roczen, not Stankdog. He and his team knew everything about this bike...before he even put a leg over it to test a few weeks before the event. C'mon.

I am aware he loves a bit of back n forth on there. But he picks and chooses when he does. I am pretty sure after an event like that the last thing he wants to do is go through all the likes and comments and tags to like and share as precious Ping was hoping for.

I manage social media accounts, not to his level of following. After a significant event, the amount of likes and tags it’s pretty ridiculous, and very time consuming to go through and make people feel special by giving a like or a reshare. Especially when it is photo’s and videos of the same shit.

It’s quite possible he thinks Ping is a tool, and chose not to. Just an opinion.

Ping did the same to me. I sent him a couple sets of my titanium seat brackets for a yz250 build under the condition that he make an Instagram mention about them. He agreed and I never heard a peep. Hypocrite.

i didn't hear anything wrong in the vid. context was someone asked him. hes not trying to make a big deal of it. Kenny is a little squirrely too. we know this. he has a giant star tattoo, lashes out at fans, and wears his heart on his sleeve.

In the past I watched all sorts of Ping content online and read his articles. I enjoyed it all and respected his opinion. Fast forward to today and I skip anything with his name attached. I would even switch brands if I found a manufacturer I use supporting him. That sentiment is 100% due to his political beliefs and how he derides anyone who thinks differently.

Did you ever see the Star Trek episode where the two guys were from the same planet but one was black on one side and white on the other but, the other cat was flip flopped? That's us brother! Everything you said, just the opposite.

I commented on his post like 6 months ago saying I enjoy his content and wish it was more moto and less politics because it divides people when it's not necessary. He commented saying I'm a F'ing lunatic that probably voted for Biden and addresses people by their pronouns. He's a head case

He blocked me from his socials because I posted a comment asking him if he was going to issue a correction on the Kenny doping and losing a KTM deal allegations. For someone that loves to use the term snowflake, he sure seems to be a bit fragile himself.

I’ve noticed that a lot of people who throw around the term snowflake a lot are extremely fragile. Classic projection.

So instead of trying to contact Kenny and say something like “hey man, I know you’re busy with trying to find a ride and WSX but just want to say I organized all of this 2 stroke stuff for you and never got a thanks or anything” and instead was spiteful about the situation and tried to make a false headline about drug testing without confirming sources, let months go by to try and “forget it” and “be a better man” and then the second someone brings it up in a questionnaire that HE controls, he uses the opportunity to call Kenny names and throw him under the bus on a public platform? Come on Ping. This is some middle school temper tantrum level stuff. Hate to say it because I truly enjoyed his incite when he was part of the crew but ML dodged a bullet letting Ping go.

From what I see...

1. For a guy who likes to talk shit about other people...Ping needs to develop thicker skin. I mean, he says "it doesn't matter to me", but then he proceeds with more butt hurt talk. If you don't want any, don't start any.

2. How does Ping know that Kenny thanked everyone else BUT HIM? I mean...did he sneak around and ask everybody else involved? You'd think Pingree would get enough recognition from it being public knowledge that the YZ250 Roczen rode was on loan from David Pingree! Does he require a personal thank-you? He comes off as very insecure.

3. Being devils advocate...Ken Roczen does seem a bit narcissistic. He talks a lot about himself, and makes excuses for practically every failure, blaming other things besides himself. Rarely does he admit that he rode like garbage that day.

David Pingree needs (IMO) to grow a pair, realize that a personal acknowledgement from Roczen isn't forthcoming...and move on.

I'll take this a bit further and say that I have learned to not do something nice and expect a thank you back.  You generally set yourself up for disappointment and then become angry in the end.    If I want to do it I just do it and don't expect anything back.  If someone throws me a thank you that's always cool.   If I feel like I'm being used I just avoid those people or situations.  ......doing something nice and expecting a thank you back is just not a healthy way to treat yourself.

It sounds like Ken and Ping never had direct communication throughout, I’m sure ken said thanks to whoever actually organised it..

If someone lent me a bike then accused me of being a drug cheat, they would be lucky to even get the bike back..

Bingo! Someone told me long ago how they stayed happy...
