Reading through any WSX thread here unfortunately illustrates some the worst traits of humanity. I know you can’t generalise that much and it’s not all, but the negative comments regularly reflect the common international image of Americans as loud, self-absorbed, arrogant and ignorant. It’s a pity, particularly some individuals seem to lack the ability to see themselves and their attitudes as others from outside their circle see them. Passion and patriotism is one thing, however this goes way beyond that. Maybe it’s merely a bravado facade, however empathy looks to be an alien concept to some. Now getting back to...

I never liked the guy, but the Josh Demuth crap was the final straw for me. Cooksey is a colossal douche.

We have built a society with an "eye blink" attention span, and a hunger for practically any kind of TMZ-type information. Cooksey is basically a bottom feeder who builds his reputation (and bank account) on hits/clicks, not on truthful reporting. He probably gives zero shits about any damage his "infotainment" causes riders, as long as he fulfills his mission...and bank account.

I remember shit talking his click bait "edgy" articles when he worked here... Guy has unpopular takes just to rile people up. Probably doesn't even believe most of the crap he spews. He's everything that is wrong with current mainstream news media, brought to moto.

He’s not credible and makes up a lot of false information that can be harmful to some of the riders. Not sure why he has so many followers.

Doesn’t the tracks pay something like 1 mill to MXSports for the right to hold the race. Seems like that could be the purse money to me.

Not 100% sure how it works. But I believe the track pays the promoter a fee to have the race. And the track takes the gate fee. I could be wrong tho. There could be percentages and stuff. Then the concession holders, beer tents etc have to pay to get a spot. Not sure if they pay the track or mx sports. And they take their profits.

Wow that is crazy. $25K for 450 and lets say $25K for 250 - total of $50K in prize money. Tickets are $60 (at least that is what it is at Fox raceway). 20K spectators times $60 = $1.2M, add parking, concessions, beer, apparel, that means someone is making some money - just not the riders. For most riders - they are losing money,

Maybe Ken heard Ping say that he was "practically a nazi" on his podcast?

And accused Ken of failing or bailing on a drug test weeks later at WSX / costing him a supposed KTM ride…got into an Instagram war with his agent… Then Ken called him a shit stick on Pulp a week or two later. Thank god I don’t have to deal with this anymore.

I'm sure that Ping has thoroughly thanked everyone who helped him throughout his illustrious career. Would love to hear both sides to this story. Maybe ken went into it with the stipulation "Sure I'll ride that bike, but Ping is a toolbox" ? Long story short: No Toil sponsors someone bitching that someone didn't say thank you to them. Mentions they weren't looking for anything in return but make it quite clear that they wanted the content SHARED. Waaaa... "I'm not impressed"

that john guy saying he's not good enough to be on the right side of the pits sounds like projection. guys a security guard (nothing wrong with that) and it eats at him. poor guy. couldnt cut it in the force.
