It’s so funny to me hearing Carmichael say that was over the line. When he was on the 125 he was slamming into people all the time lol. And on the 250 he was very aggressive, just a little tamer than he was on that Pro Circuit 125.

No question Deegan is a snot kid. He’s gonna bring the dirty racing, That’s the only way to race him. But MX/SX is no place for nice guys.

Agreed.  The funny part is Smith got “taken out” when he was on the inside.  Impressive bike control by Deegan to stay upright after that.

Eh Deegan was already looking for him before, attempted to ride into him and then Smith was in “shock” mode, like he couldn’t believe what had just happened.

Smith literally ran into him when he fell. He then crashed two more times on his own.

Oh you’re right. Absolutely nothing went on before this. Smith was clearly at fault, while Deegan was the victim.

Holy shit man...... These guys can't even race anymore. One line cookie cutter track and they diced in literally one of the only areas on the track to dice.. Deegan coulda punted him proper multiple turns before Smith didn't check up and caused the physical incident.. Then Smith gooned out in the lcq and let a privateer have the inside..

Kids 17 years old.. he should be landing on his head but he's handling things well for a baby faces kid.. talent was keeping on 2 wheels when your teammate kamikazes up the inside...

Maybe the very experienced Smith shouldn’t have fallen into the games like he hasn’t been racing professionally for the last, how many years now? Should be smarter and more mature than that.

That’s what I was thinking. Everyone wanted to keep calling deegan immature, but a vet of the class should have been smart enough to back off a second, and pass him somewhere else. He was riding fast enough for it

I don’t think Deegan meant to do the first thing and cut down hard to make that known.

smith then showed some attitude and Deegan looked like he was just gonna let him go around the outside but smith ran slow and looked like they touched again and then it looks like Deegan got mad after that and actually tried to hit him lol.

smith is a dumbass.

RC used to do it a lot. His favorite was block pass then stay planted in the rut till they where in a dead stop. Then suddenly pull away.

I like Deegan, I hope his next target is Hunter then we’ll see his speed reach a new level.

Smith needs to drop down to the Kyle Peters AX experience then maybe he can learn some race craft.

Nothing different than block passing has always been. I like seeing the old passionate fight for position mental attitude .

I think he just found out " Rubbin’s Racin’ " does not have the same meaning when it comes to your teammate.

I guess Daddy Deeg's forgot to tell him that.

This whole discourse proves that many of the people that comment on this website are akin to WWE fans where they just pick whatever side of the match they're on and defend it to the death.

I am not a Deegan fanboy by any means, I don't watch or follow any of his social media stuff, but to say that Smith going down during that is Deegan's fault is idiotic.  Yes, Deegan was racing backwards and "playing defense" but that does not mean that Smith slamming into him in an attempt to block pass and falling down in the process is suddenly Deegan's fault or wrongdoing. It's like hitting a curb, popping your tire and then blaming it on the curb.

I guess the love/hate relationship that is fandom is good for the sport because it keeps a discourse going and fuels the drama fire every weekend but damn is it annoying at times when there's a crystal clear analysis as to what happened and people will argue why that's actually not the case because they don't like the rider that was a part of it.
