Deegan Press Conference Comment

David is a long time Jordon Smith supporter. That was obviously personally charged by him. I'm not opposed to asking a professional the hard questions, that felt kind of excessive though.

The kids are alright

To try to pin it on Deegan is soft.

David is clearly emotional about the night. I get it if Jordan is his guy. I respect Hunter for stepping in and saying what he did.

So, you were good with what ML512 asked, it wasn't too excessive?  

You could hear in David’s voice that he was getting visibly upset. Hunter handled the situation very well. 
 

When you watch the “altercation” back you can see Smith being the aggressor after Deegan came out of the whoops hot and Smith tried to go around the outside of him. 

David? I did not see the press conference, who is David?

Who was the "host" that asked the dumbass question of Hunter right off the bat and Hunter owned him?  Is that dildo Dan from the day program that should be taking trash out rather than being on stage?

David sure got handled during that exchange. It was an embarrassing moment for a veteran reporter in the sport. 

Hunter just took the bull by the horns and called the keyboard warriors bitches while having Deegan’s back. Deegan is fast, young, aggressive and will make some mistakes. That was a gnarly move to a teammate during a heat race. I’m still a big fan! 

It was strange to listen to for sure.  He kept pushing, but Hayden was also super disrespectful by saying "I don't know, I wasn't paying attention" etc.  

I was fine with David asking for more detail after ML didn't get the additional context I assume all of the media was hoping for. Haiden gave an answer to David, and after David kept pushing because he wasn't happy with said answer, in my eyes it became slight antagonization. 

Deegan wants to race like that but won't answer questions and just laughs. Really low class if you ask me. Really shows the character of him. 

agree...deegan is still a kid....he answered ML's question ..(albeit not to press satisfaction)..there was no need to keep pushin it?

Who ever asked the follow up question was in the right. That's what a good reporter does...not allow an intentionally vague and evasive answer end the question that everyone wants answered. .   

You could hear in davids voice he was not neutral.  Pretty unprofessional. Not a deagan fan but I will cut the 17 year old kid some slack even though he looked like an idiot.  David, no slack, came across as an asshole

First off , I agree with what Hunter said.  2nd , I don't blame David for asking the question, or am I miffed with the way Haiden answered it. It's racing.....heat , lcq or main , it's a freakin'race. Some times some plastics get rubbed. Jordan went down one more time and stalled it after him and Haiden got together. That is all on him.

Got to respect that. The sport is called racing.  

Hunter came across as an arrogant prick.     Not all us "old timers"  are bitching about the current smash mouth racing.  Bring it.   ...just expect to get it back.

Deegan came across very poorly.  In previous weeks/interviews, I was impressed with how grounded he appeared.  He acted like a punk up there tonight.     ...and I think blame is equal between Smith and him.

The journalist (if you want to call him that) was laughable....

They're teammates but who knows what happens at the test track, might be some banter that carried over to the heat race. We'll never know but Haiden seems unbothered by it all and I absolutely love it.

Clearly Hunter was talking to you when making a general comment about social media. TBH it wouldn’t matter what he does, some of you would find a way to put a negative spin on it 🙄

Jordan Smith, riding a Factory Star Yamaha, failed to get a 4th place finish in an LCQ. Is that Deegan's fault too? The dude is literally a child and grown ass adults are losing their shit over him. One thing I will say, I haven't really heard the kid speak before, but my god does he gives off Beavis and Butthead vibes with that laugh haha.
