So if they are shipping them after final payment does that mean piecemeal air freight 1 bike at a time or do you have to wait for the first 40 people to pay fully and then get them shipping in a container overseas? Could take 3-4 weeks + ports and customs after full payment to get your bike?? Seems like a big difference either way

I receive letters form emails from companies all the time that are not dated this way.  It is fine Sherlock, move on to the next clue,

OK, you are also an observer of email format styles.

So back to my point.

What is the date on the 'incredible journey' letter from support@stark future.com?

so we've got 20 pages of unknown answers to some pretty damn obvious questions regarding one of the most hyped bikes in half a century. This might sound crazy, but MAYBE our moto-"media" might fire off an email to turtleneck-man and maybe, ya know, like get an update?? Call me crazy.

I tried to call Turtleneck man but I was connected to a fund in the Cayman Islands.

if they've got a few proto models of this damn thing, they'd sell 100x more by dragging it out to the SX race and talking a top rider into riding it for 5m around the track (ala KR doing it in Spain). The advertising would be insane. Or even to the big local races and let people blow up social media with their feedback. Or they could keep everything top secret, give scant updates, and just keep pushing the delivery dates.

What I find amusing is the fact that in the video he says we sold 1,000 bikes in the first 24 hours.  When really, they haven’t sold squat.  Those $100 deposits may not turn into actual sales when it comes time to pay full price before the bike is even shipped.  My bet is a significant percentage will not, especially given the state of the economy. It will be interesting to watch.

With the banks being shit and motoguys being generally bat-shit crazy it is not bad asset to have imho.

I would buy one off someone in my area. With the low numbers being produced (in next few years) there might be long-time demand for resale.

If it sucks balls you lose likely thousand or two of bucks while you sell it to some1 who is still high on the hype. If it is good you have couple years of fun and sell it maybe even with minimal loss.  Is it risky? Yeah, but shitting in the woods is also.

tl;dr: don't pull the rug yet. Rant over

Awesome!! I will  be watching , I have a few customers who also have Vargs on order. I can not wait to see it in person. My property is the perfect place to build a track for an Electric.  little over 5 acres zoned industrial, but 2 houses just a little too close to use a couple of those acres for track or trails. WIth a Varg I might be able to open up much more area. As it is , I plan on making some RC car tracks on the areas closer to the houses and keep the louder stuff farther out into the woods by the highway.

I can not wait to see how these bikes work in the real world. I think they have a better chassis than the Alta and if they are able to extend the runtime to double the Altas I think A lot of people will be happy. Hopefully they are able to exceed the runtimes they have claimed and have been under promising and will over deliver.

I hope the bike is everything you want it to be. It seems like with all of the hype , there will be something that is an unexpected letdown. Hopefully its just the late delivery and everything else is better than promised . If you have a Youtube channel post a link, I'm sure there are a lot of people that will be interested in seeing you get to ride one and hopefully  it is the bike that is yours. If you have posted a link in the past, repost it when you have the video up with your riding experience . If possible try and get some answers to some of the legit questions from this thread, and post what they say.  So cool Congrats!

You’re right. Probably similarly miserable… but still miserable.

Seems like a lot of people just downvote everything from a certain poster or everything Electric. I feel like I do not have any posts that do not have at least 1 downvote. But it amazes me how some stuff gets a downvote .  Its crazy how polarizing the Electric power has become.  For cars and road vehicles I can understand the resistance a bit more. But for Dirt bikes it just makes so much sense for many reasons.  I am all for every type of dirt bike , gas , electric, or whatever. No hate on the gas bikes, just excited for a potential major development  that could make riding more accessible.

Same with me…I’m waiting for a reputable brand to come out with one.  I don’t want to spend $14k on what becomes an expensive conversation piece when the company goes out of business (Alta) and it breaks…

Stoked for you Bryan. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it and even more so can’t wait to see it at the local tracks.

" If you asked any moto rider, “Would you want a bike that has the handling characteristics and agility of a 125 with the power of a 450?” the answer would most certainly be in the affirmative. That is pretty much how the Stark Varg feels. "  -  Klinger 6/9/2022

Pass the kool-aid if you would please.

& while you're at it, I'll take an espresso to go & a size large turtleneck.

You're flying on the Alta, but I noticed that you have some engine lights on the display.  What are they indicating?

My Alta recently had a wire bond pop on one of the cells in the pack, so there's currently a fault code displaying. It can happen to any MXR but the good news is its fixable.
