Anyone hear if he was hurt? The brief shot of him getting up and on the bike he looked pretty knackered.

I had a feeling chase was going to crash at some point in the main because of how rough the track was. I’ve done what he’s done before hitting neutral from a deep rut on a turning jump before and it sucks. The crash itself didn’t look that bad, but man did it twist that bike up. I’m hoping he just knocked the wind out of himself and didn’t get hurt.

We all have that same feeling each weekend now.

He looked hurt to me. Guess we just have to wait to hear if it’s anything other than bruises.

I’m worried ,as I am sure we all are, that Sexton will end up punch drink with CTE.
How many times can he continue to pick himself up?

The dude is so fast but it’s only a matter of time before one of these bites him too hard.

Hope he's okay.    Hated to see that.

....but it's a weekly thing now.   I think he's pushing too hard.

He looked a little tentative getting up, he got jerked sideways a little.

Im sure he’s fine and he’ll smooth out. His wrecks have been kind of minor- tipping over here and there.

dude is a head case at this point. You know he's gonna crash, the crowd knows he's gonna crash....and HE knows he's gonna crash. It's just a miserable cycle that he's got to break somehow.

Once again, pushing too hard; and, on a track that didn’t reward that.

He’s going to figure it out.

when he does figure it out, the dude will win multiple championships. His speed is stellar. Until then, it's crazy frustrating to be a fan of his....and I'm sure he's damn near wanting to put his head through a wall.

One day…he’s gonna “almost crash”…then he’s gonna chill-out for part of a lap…settle in and mildly start to wick-it-up. That’s the day he will have truly taken advantage of watching Eli these last few years.

People been saying this all year yet he keeps doing it, not sure he will figure it out.

This is coming from a dude that hasn't ridden a dirt bike since 2009, so take this with a massive pinch of salt, but does anyone think Sexton's technique might be too perfect? As in, when the bike is working perfectly and he's hitting his marks, he's insanely fast and smooth. But as soon as the bike is slightly out of shape the dude hits the dirt. Jason Thomas mentioned that Sexton trusts his front tyre waaaay more than anyone else. When the front end is finding grip, Sexton's immaculate technique works great. But as soon as the bike is out of line it all goes to shit. Being comfortable on a wild bike might be something he needs to learn? Or maybe he needs to adapt his style to anticipate those inevitable small moments so that they don't turn into a crash?

Sexton has a flawed technique, with proof in the pudding, and it has been spoken about a lot, by real experts.

Have a listen to James, Ricky and even Catanzaro on him.

Matthes said he twisted his ankle and mangled his bike.

I couldn’t tell if he was hurt or just slowly getting up thinking “fuuuck this bike”.

This.

He is, arguably, getting worse.

If he gets injured b4 he figures it out it could be a real issue for him.

He is lucky most of his crashes are front end washes into or out of a corner.

Some guys who crash a lot (rj and ac) have said they ride at 100% they are fastest and crash. They trying and bring it back 3-5% and they are 8th.

I can only imagine in his head every second of the race is don't crash, don't crash., don't crash.

When was the last time a rider in his 6-7 year "figured it out"?

Davalos? AC? Jordon? Malcom?

For me Sexton is no different than AC at this point with his riding style. Would you say AC gonna win a championship?

Did you really just lump RC, Bubba, and Catanzaro together as real experts on Sexton's technique? Lol really......Catanzaro? Hahaha

We won't hear if he's injured unless he has to miss a round.

If he is, he'll probably decline an interview, so as not to have to lie, Tomac's way, which is fair enough.

Good technique is what keeps you from crashing and turns for sure crashes into small bobbles. His technique is perfect as far as body position and all but obviously is messing something up but I don't necessarily think its his technique as a whole, more like something he's misreading or feeling with the track and bike at certain times maybe thinks there is grip where their isn't. Whatever it is its certainly above and away from anything I could pinpoint just watching him.

I don’t think he understands that the track and bike have limitations, he rides beyond both. I could be 100% off, but I also think his bike is a bit soft, set up for comfort vs speed so to speak.

It’s a different mindset, to slow down and take what the track will give you. I too think he will figure it out.

His technique is perfect, his racecraft is flawed.

Catanzaro might not be as fast as RC or James, but his knowledge is second to none. He is a lot like Kyle Lewis in that aspect, they can break down what the bike, and rider are doing wrong.

What year was Tomac in when he won his first Supercross championship?
