 He went pretty fast to get right up on Chase Sexton in the corner.

At the time I thought he might be done ,  you must come off the gas as well , not just not make time

Good on the AMA for not calling a penalty on Barcia or Sexton.   No harm no foul.

What did make me laugh was James' very real and earnest 'uh-oh' when that happened cause he, like everyone else was waiting for Barcia's red mist to make the next decision haha

I don't recall Malcolm doing that after Barcia took him down. It was between 3 lanes side by side with no room to ride between them. Are you referring to a different spot on the track where the incident didn't take place?  Daytona Malcom did speed on the side of the track after him and Anderson got into it and he got penalized for it.

Think this instance did not warrant a penalty in the least. Two guys racing hard for third , one guy gets out of shape, bikes come together forcing one guy off the track, luckily not crashing.

I could be wrong on the particular race....but I do remember Mookie riding like a madman to catch Barcia after an incident...the stadium was going wild as Mookie was catching him.     There was some serious off track speed after the altercation.

Sounds like the Daytona race in which Malcom was penalized for it.

Considering Barcia was about to pass Sexton, but after the incident ended up behind him, it’s fair to say ‘no advantage was gained’.
