Why not? We even do it without snow.

Go to the 40:25 mark.

Literally over 99% of scientists agree that human activity is causing the average global temperature to rise. Yes, climate change is inevitable and will change over large amounts of time but the alarming part is that the natural progression should have us seeing a cooler global temperature at this point in time. “Mother Nature does what it wants!” Yeah sure but Mother Nature also doesn’t construct skyscrapers.

That is a global collection of very smart people that have devoted their lives to shit like this and you’re a conspiracy theorist who refuses to believe that you and your fellow humans could possibly do anything wrong.

Here’s a wiki link for your “proof”. I’m not going to Google any further for you since you clearly do not care about data or studies but rather will only agree with what aligns with your feelings. You constantly wedge your political stance in seemingly every thread you possibly can.

Oh. Cool pics of Glen Helen covered in snow.

It would be easier to believe if they didn't ban lawn mowers while they fly around in G650s.

Climate scientists flying around in private jets?

You do know that Leonardo DiCaprio isn't really a scientist and was just playing one in a movie right?

At the same time, there have been temps in the high 60's in mid-February in the snowbelt of the northeast. Many of the ski slopes are in rough shape and there are major trials that that I haven't been able to ski in recent years because of not enough snow. The record warm temps this winter go all the way up to the Artic circle.

In the past you might have had a warm winter for a year or two, but have not seen anything like this trend in my almost 64 years.

The global warming is causing the really wacky weather and that causes the "climate change"

Mother nature does what she wants when she wants.  It was -26 F when we drove through California during the holidays...and that was 19 degrees short of their record low.

Hard to tell if you are trolling or just subscribe to the many bat sh!t crazy conspiracies and false facts out there. Arctic ice is increasing? Really?.. So you are an engineer who doesn't believe in science? There is so much data out that, that if anyone that manages to step out of the conspiracy sites on Facebook, there is little doubt. Here are some undeniable time lapse pics from NASA since the 1980's on the shrinking arctic ice;

Here is some scientific data that shows how much sea levels have indeed risen.. and the reason that Venice, Italy has people wading through water more often these days;

Sea Level | Vital Signs – Climate Change: Vital Signs of the Planet (nasa.gov)

The conspiracy's theorist's narrative of all scientists in cahoots with each other with a secret hidden political agenda and flying around in private jets just adds humor to how far people have departed from reality.  Scientists are usually professors from universities that drive around in a Volkswagen or the like, they gain notoriety not by spewing the same song as everyone else, but by challenging with new ideas, data and theories.. they get invitations to speak when they have ideas supported by data that disagrees with the status quo, not by agreeing with others.

Niel deGrasse Tyson does a good job of explaining to us common folk how people cherry-pick data to spin their false narratives which eventually develop into the wacko conspiracy theories. How people take one data point, one event, one locality and try to make the same type of asinine argument like the idiotic senator, James Inhofe, did when he brought a snowball into Congress and tried to claim that climate change is a hoax since it still snows out and snowballs still exist. If everyone thought like this we would still be back in the middle ages. But we should thank scientists and thank science that we don't... we should thank them for our iphones that we can now use to tune the power on our motocross bikes or our ability to fly in aluminum tubes through the sky at 600 mph in complete comfort while watching a movie and sipping wine, or our ability to visit other planets and analyze the composition of soil on Mars using robots.

My scientist fiancé would love to know where the money tree is that you guys say is throwing funding around all willy nilly for anything considered "green". The oil industry and pharmaceutical industry pay double what she makes working with "green" energy.

My virologist daughter would also like to know.

The California Highway Patrol closed Hwy 101 from Garberville to just north of Willits yesterday evening.

As they did so, reports came in of between 75 and 300 vehicles stranded on Hwy 101 in northern Mendocino County and multiple travelers searching for shelter. Those numbers haven’t been confirmed, but photos sent to us this morning near Confusion Hill north of Leggett by one traveler

Dang we drove through there multiple times in November on our last camping trip. Yikes

I've driven up and down that freeway more times than I can count over the last 13 years. I've hit mild snow a handful of times but nothing like that. That had to be pretty scary for the people stuck there at night, as you know there is nothing close by.

Didn't you know? Any hyocritical politician they don't like, or anybody in sci-com, or the journalist who wrote the article with a clickbait title with cherry picked data from the scientist who actually did the research/wrote the paper are all the same person.

First of all Neil DeGrasse Tyson is actor I cannot take someone with that as their profession seriously.

Those "photos" you showed are CGI.

I live 3min walk away from the beach I have lived here for 20 years I have not noticed major difference in water level in that time (I surf) I'm down there constantly, I remember 20 years ago listening to some scientist on the news that a lot of the coast line in my city will be underwater by 2020 I remember being scared shitless, that coast line is still there not even close to buildings, this scared me so much I actually became obsessed with checking the weather everyday before school and even today, I can tell you at least in my city from 2005 to now summers have been cooler, much cooler only the past 2 years we are starting to see glimpses of summers we used to get in the early 2000s, I can only go off what happens where I live and luckily I kept score on what the weather is doing and compare to what they are saying, there seems to be an obsession to dramatize the weather here as if a normal summer day is a threat to life.

With this damning information you are presenting why aren't the real estate organizations are panic buy mode for coast line real estate ? they still remain the hottest and highest priced properties you'd think with such dire predictions the value would die in the ass.

Also even if the water rises, the temp gets hotter who is to say this is a bad thing? who's to say this hasn't happened 100x before, you're a big data numbers on screen type of guy, tell me where the data shows that this is a disaster for humanity?

"global warming causes extreme heat and extreme cooling" that one always makes me laugh, it remains me of "It only works if we all take it".

You can show me all the data you want nothing will change unless my 2 eyes can visibility see the difference, one thing that these predictions and crisis always seem to have a knack of doing is to tax us further and steer society in a  certain direction.

Interesting to see all the Vital members here that believe they are smarter than the vast majority of the world's leading scientists.

Some of the same scientists don’t know know how to define what a woman is… I’m out 😎!

We have only been taking accurate temperatures for the last 150 years and the earth is how old…?

Another reason I’m out 😜!

Back when the mainstream media was allowed to venture slightly from the narrative:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamestaylor/2011/11/23/climategate-2-0-new…

Do you know how the global average temperature is calculated?

People automatically think if you are skeptical about “carbon being the global thermostat” you don’t care about the environment when the complete opposite is true. The largest corporations who have been destroying the planet for the last 150years are the same corporations who created and fund the modern environmental movement who completely ignores the poisoning of our food and water with endocrine disrupting chemicals and genetically modified garbage in every grocery store and neurotoxins in the drinking water..or the federal agency tasked with protecting the environment just released a dioxin cloud on 1/4 of the country and claim its safe..

… maybe it’s because this forum is full of old men haters and low IQ man-children that can’t wait to take a simple dirt bike forum post about snow on a California track and twist it to fit their political  agenda?

That would b cool. I would est 1st corner speed at 100+. I went Past  the track in I think 06 it was at night there was snow. With some more light in San Bernardino it looked like 6-8 inches. It looked a little weird with palm trees. If the local So Cal Bro,s hv time go ride in the snow. It’s pretty fun. You won’t hv much front end grip just ride smooth angles. You,ll probably laugh a lot being that’s it’s so different.

Snow is the best thing for a track. The slow melt is different than rain. In a couple days when it melts . It will be the best conditions ever. Why do you think the Midwest dirt is so good.
