They didn't ask him that ? I remember seeing in either Dirt Bike or MXA him riding the Yamaha YZ 400f 4 stroke . Probably Dirt Bike because it was more in a hill climb trail riding environment.

He would’ve had trouble in 81 because Howerton was on such a better bike. But I think he would’ve won in 80. The better question is, what could he have done if he didn’t hurt his wrist on the Honda, because he was so dominant once he got on that bike.

Forgot to mention... he talked a little bit about Scott boots and how great they were. I bought a pair of those and they really were awesome. Comfortable and super protective. Too bad Scott didn't evolve them .

One thing you need to know, the motocross industry in his time referred to the Japanese guys as the japs, literally everyone said it. Plus, he’s what, 62? I fairly certain his dad would’ve used the term too, my dad did.

You have to know what you get with a guy like that, someone who literally cares about no one but himself, and will say whatever is on his mind, if you’re soft, it will offend you.

In the '80's, his uncle still had a place at Bean, the place with the tower. Mel had a stripped down dune buggy they used to haul the half barrel and pipe up to the spring. That buggy would go just about anywhere.

For the guys who think that Hannah is just full of himself watch some of this race and then skip to the 19:30 mark. This interview always had a lasting effect on me as a kid.

Do they drug test truck drivers ? if not then they need too because you have to be on drugs to post this kind of crap on a regular basis. Blush Glad you are on the other side of the country most of time or I wouldn't feel safe on the roads if you were running in Colorado on a normal scheduleDry .
