Anyone know what’s happened to Braswell? Has been outside the top 10, I feel like since switching to Honda he’s fallen apart. For someone to win the horizon award at LL and keep racing amateur events I feel like it’s a step backwards

How do they score these races? Resultsmx.com has the overall 250A results as Bennick 1st overall with an 8 / 1, but the kid in 2nd went 3 /2 and 3rd was 4 /3. By my math, Deegan should have been 3rd overall (1 / 5) and Bennick 4th.

I’m not sure if you were trying to pull a “gotcha” but what I said previously is accurate. Can’t help if scoring is messed up.

Caden needed 2 points to get a supercross license. All he had to do was get a top 20 in one of the 250 A classes. No reason for him to be hanging it out or battling with anyone, he got his two points to race Supercross, and went on his merry way.

Should be sometime tomorrow. Practice will probably take the rest of the day and a bit in the morning.

Yes, I did. He has a factory Star ride and was racing guys in the A class. I looked it up and the guys that beat him were 3-10 last year in the B class. As a factory rider on the best bike I expected more.

I’m not arguing Deegan isn’t a great rider. I’m stating an opinion that he didn’t look as great as all the hype.

Quetin Marc Prugnieres beat him in one race, and got ridden off the track by him in another ( racing move, no foul) , and he finished 5th in EMX250 this year and hasnt won a race in 2022.

Been some great races, Grewe and Carsten yesterday was awesome.

He is with Bud 9mm Kawasaki for 2023.

He is pretty good, needs a breakout year this year , else he will be struggling to make the jump to MX2.

I guess he is Florida for winter training.

Well this wont have hurt his chances, Farres seems to have managed it, and on paper , he is a better rider IMO , if he wants to race SX, then he is in the right place.

The fact that quite a few AM's havent worked out lately , means teams might take a chance on him, like Farres got.

I guess you missed the part where he was 15th off the start 12th at the end of the first lap and was 8 seconds down on the pair in front with two laps to go and caught them at the finish all while setting the fastest laps of the race....yep unimpressive....some people...Whistling

No , i saw that , did you miss the bit where you have to get off the start to win races?

Or seen a guy have to hang it out cos he is the factory guy at an Am race and he isnt gonna win. ?

How does a rider of his caliber only pass 3 riders on the opening lap?

Yes he is fast, cant deny that , but lets see how he does in 2023 .

Really you have to get a start to win races? well shit who knew....so your right we should all shit on him when he doesn't win...and just an fyi the Star amateur bikes are not factory bikes...different engine and different suspension....and if you saw the race you would have seen the Canadian rider cross jump him and cut across multiple times....as if you didn't know he kind of has a target on his back...lets hold the criticism until after the week is done...

I didnt say he was on a factory bike did i, because i knew he wasnt.

I am not shitting on him, i am saying that he is under pressure and he rode like that guy that was.

Looking forward to the rest of the week though, as long as its good racing , its all good.

if i wasnt at work , i'd love to play the 'Holy Cow' game with the announcers..

Man, ain't that the truth. I see so many of these parents that have laid it all on the line financially for their 9yo to be the next possible Tomac, Dungey or Stewart. The kids have a lot of pressure on them to perform. It kind of takes all of the fun out of why you go to the track in the first place imo.

We started getting serious in 85's but a bad injury last year put me back in perspective that this is something that is supposed to be fun for not only my kid, but for the whole family. Now we go to the track with a whole different attitude which is great.
Same thing for my son. Now it's back to have fun 110%. we work on things some days other days just ride your dirt bike buddy. We went to some gp races which made him fall in love with dirt bikes all over again also.

Sort of funny this backyard track counts towards a PRO's SX license points. Looks fun to ride but I would not refer to it as SXSmile

Anyway Stéphane Dassé (Bud Racing's boss) will bring him to ride AMA SX soon. Stéphane loves US SX and is always here to help his riders.

He's 16, he still has time to develop as a rider.

I love it when the foreign riders come over and do well. Deegan will be fine, the kid has gotten so much stronger and faster being with the Star team it has blown me away. Who knows how his pro career will turn out but he doesn’t look like a guy that will fade away without any professional success. Deegan has been training for pro racing with other pro riders and that isn’t a short sprint on a TT track. Not bashing the track, more amateur tracks should be like that but for the A class, it didn’t present any challenges to separate the riders. If they built the track at A1 like that, Vince Friese would win every time.

But I can see where some would have doubts and in the end I’m biased toward blue bikes anyway so I’m gonna see him with rose colored glasses. I do like to hear the different unbiased views though, keeps us centered.

Only ones I know missing it are ferry and Cochran which I think is especially weird since they live in Florida. Braswell did SX and left after not doing great

Does anyone have the correct running order, looks like the tentative one is no good.
