Lets put some context to what you just said. The Suzuki was dated and behind the competition in 2017 and the new bike in 2018 wasn't a big step forward. Go and look at some of the shootout results in 2018, the previous gen Kawasaki beat it in pretty much all of them.

Shootouts are definitely not the be all and end all but those results say something.

And the KX got some small refinements in 2021 (new clutch etc). The 2023 should be the last of this generation. Expect an all new bike in the summer or fall.
idiotic. The updated bikes had new frames swingarms electronics plastics and suspension. Why do you lie?

The characteristics of the Suzuki motor might actually benefit Kenny’s lugging style

I own a 2022 kx450sr and I can tell you it’s cheaply made , great bike but cheaply made , the Suzuki only draw back is the kicker and how does that actually affect performance? I would argue that the Suzuki was already ahead of the others in handling, also remember the earthquake in Japan , covid ? Might have affected Suzuki more than others ….

They have TWO Title sponsors. The 450 guys will run the Twisted Tea HEP logos and the 250 guys will run the Progressive logos. The 250 guys aren’t old enough to drink, so they can’t be running/promoting alcoholic beverages.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but you have to ask; if Twisted Tea is the main sponsor of the 450s, why wouldn't they have their logo plastered on the shrouds instead of Progressive's, when the (arguably) most popular guy in the sport is testing their bike?

This makes sense but can you imagine Kenny under the same tent as Seven Duece Duece?

Almost as if we’ve seen that before. Already on an outdated RMZ. O yes, it was Roczen waxing everyone on that old platform.

I just want Roczen to choose the Suzuki and win even one race because it would be fun to watch. Heck he looked pretty good at straight rhythm on a YZ250 and they date back a long time. Until Star took over the Yamaha 450 program we had plenty of “blue pig” talk. I think Ken can win on anything when he is “on”.

Not knowing obviously, but perhaps the Suzuki being an older platform has more proven setups? The new Austrian bikes have some confused, the Yamaha is new, and Roczen consistently stated they were searching on the Honda.
C'mon now. This is simple:

Roczen won his last championship, dominating with the Suzuki, while Musquin and others had to be stuck on the previous gen KTM, which was a tired dinosaur motorcycle, much like the Suzuki is now.

But, now, even though Kenny was faster on that old Suzuki than anybody riding the previous KTM, and even though the Suzuki has been updated since then, it is still a dinosaur, because KTM got a new model recently, and the Suzuki update just wasn't enough to keep up. Oh, by the way, according to Vital, the new KTM isn't as good as the old KTM. So, to be clear, the old dinosaur Suzuki that Roczen was unbeatable on and since got an update (but not enough of an update) can't be competitive against the new non-dinosaur KTM, because it also got an update, but that update made it worse.

Got it? Good.

He sure looked good on the Instagram video. I’m amazed he can just switch bikes and kill it like that.

Disclaimer: Im a Suzuki guy. Long live the Racing Machine, Roger D is god, last gen RM250 is the best handling bike on the planet etc etc etc

That bike looks like shit. 450s have changed so much in the last generation that the Suz went from the fastest turning bike around 2016 to a long wheelbase slow rpm building wide wollowy but stiff shitbox vs his crf.

*It almost looks like the new gen 450s chassis are developed for mid corner bite compared to that big old dinosaur thats just floating around

Speaking of his crf - he would be mad to ride anything else if he can get some contingency from Honda / and or RedBull - he has developed the Honda with factory support - and could transfer very similar settings to a privateer CRF (similar to BT101 around 2010 with his Aus / TLD ride) and have better results than developing any other brand from scratch.

A very wise man once claimed "the new gen crf 450 is the best motocross bike ever made" and he is not wrong

It would be very cool to see him sign with HEP but I'm pretty confident that he will not win a single race except LCQ or maybe an heat on the Zook. Definitely a dinosaur motorcycle that suit pretty well for guys like dinosaur. He looks already like a 14 years old kid on dirtbikes but even more on the Zook. He looks so small on that big bike.

What are you talking about man, they where on the new bike in 15 and 16. Actually kenny was the last to win on the "dinosaur ktm".

Nope. The new non-dinosaur KTM came out in '23 (which hasn't happened yet) and they were on it in '22, but it is "worse" than the old dinosaur bike that Kenny beat on the dinosaur Zook.

If he sticks with Honda on a satellite team there’s a feeling of desperation, like a guy chasing a girl who dumped him..

I’d like to see him make it a clean break. Move on and do great things!

Mid corner bite is probably the most important part to a bike . More mid corner bite ,more Flow . More corner speed . I can't understand how the hell anyone can look at the vid s of him on the HEP bike and not think his corner speed looks amazing . If a pro can get a bike they like the front end feel on .that s the most important thing . Can fix everything else . My honest opinion is Tomac could win a race on a 06 CRF factory honda outdoor s .

Corner speed looked amazing on the RMZ. Don’t have anything to compare it to, but he was on rails.

Back in the late 70's/early 80's, everyone knew that nothing turned better than an RM.

I don't believe that this has ever really changed, has it?

How many decades until the best mx bike ever can win a championship? The rmz450, kx450, 450sxf, and now yz450f all have multiple.

Not a good take on it honestly, any media that’s given the bike a real shakedown doesn’t say what you have to say mr random guy on vital. Also it’s day 1 on a different motorcycle, also also both the crf and rmz are a bit stiff feeing. Also also also what are you talking about contingency? That’s pocket change for Kenny. While I’ll agree I think the Honda makes the most logical sense, But at this point in his career what does Kenny chase the Money which puts him on the Suzuki, or familiarity which would be the Honda

Yes Ken Roczen will be on a dinosaur. A whore fucking, fire breathing, hauling ass T-Rex dinosaur that’s hungry for championships and commandeered by an even more ferocious German Evil Let’s go.

Just because something is updated, doesn’t mean it is better!
I currently ride a 22 kx450, but the most comfortable and confident I’ve felt on a bike was my2016 yz250x,
I was going to get a 23 yz250x, but the kx was so cheap it’s what I ended up with, maybe it would have been better for ME to stay with the yz!
Point being, your always fastest on what your most comfortable on!

I do wonder... Will there be an announcement from the Roczen camp soon? Or will he just start showing up at the test track on the same bike every day???

If Ken truly wanted to change a companies trajectory he should get in touch with Beta. He could be to Beta what Dungey was to KTM. If the GOAT was based on sales it might well be Dungey. He will always have that accomplishment that really no other rider has. He has plenty of money, why not go for history.
