Brayton Post Race Interview about Friese

10/25/2022 5:44am
Pretty dumb move, ultimately costing MCR the title because if Brayton or Vince finished 3rd they get the title I think (assuming KR94 got 2nd still).. If I was MCR I’d pull the support from him, he’s a time bomb tick tick tick.. it’s only a matter time before he does something stupid again that will damage the brands reputation.. He’s had too many chances.

The big question is, what - if anything - is MCR going to do about it? My guess is nothing.

Mind blowing too that when Justin confronted him, Vince called Justin a baby and he's just mad that Vince is faster than him.

Welcome to cancel culture America. Where no one waits for the facts or to hear both sides, just immediately jump to conclusions. Maybe Honda and MCR are diligently piecing together the facts to make a proper decision.

And playing other side, I have jokingly told friends I am going to take them out on the start. Vince can likely use that as his defense, no contracts were signed for the said $2,000, He can say it was all a friendly rivalry joke...or he can say Harlan made it up.

There has to be a reason guys like Malcolm, Hill, etc. couldn't get away quick enough from a team that is as close to riding for a factory team asap. Why have they stayed loyal to Vince for so long? Lot's of questions regarding that team. Not quite factory, but better than any other B team? Yet rider's can't get away quick enough. Random.
The fact that guys like that pretty quickly get picked up by other...more successful teams, that have a reputation of being solid, and demanding their riders be as well...and with Vince Friese not jumping ship, probably because he's not getting any other offers should speak loudly enough.

Nobody with a moral or professional compass wants to be associated with the drama and bullshit he brings to the table.

I've always wondered why MCR has always almost courted drama and controversy. With Jeff Alessi and Lasergate...and with Friese pretty much being as hated a rider as Barcia...seems like Genova believes "there's no such thing as bad press"!

Throw out the already tired old "cancel culture" and then give a list of excuses and technicalities to bail someone out in advance, even if it turns out they did do something that's clearly wrong.

It's always best to hear both sides first, agreed, but I doubt many people will be surprised if it comes out that it is true.

I'm just disappointed a handful of guys with such a talent and skill set can't carry themselves a bit more respectably, regardless of any side-drama.

I wonder if WSX didn't lay the seed to promote their season next year and have a storyline.

WSX is THE equivalent of Pro wrestling and with that being said this could be a very well planned out publicity stunt for next season.

WSX pro wrestling & roller balls first cousin.

let's move past this quickly and one to Anaheim 1 please.

I'm a little shocked that there's been no public word from Friese (well...not THAT shocked), Alessi or Genova on this. Are they just hoping it'll go away if they stay silent long enough?

They're getting their collective asses handed to them...and it might be a good time to clear the air.

based on the FIM's speed of handling issues in the sport, I'm sure they'll investigate this in '26. Until then, carry on...

In all seriousness, Friese will say "It was a joke for crying out loud!" and nobody will be able to prove differently. Totally shitty situation though and speaks volumes of 1. how frustrated JB is and 2. what a douche canoe VF is....

I'm a little shocked that the Vitard Brethren haven't responded more.

We had like 10 threads and 300 pages for a B rider claiming another B riders bike. Now we got a dude offering up a bounty on his teammate at the highest level of the sport and we can barely muster up 5 pages.....

Time to step it up fellas....

Friese has always been a hazard on track, dude clearly lacks brains and talent, and that's tolerable for the most part.

But the takeout bribe thing, IF TRUE, is a whole new level of dog shit that should not be fucking tolerated. EVER.

Friese to Brayton: I’m a better rider than you

Friese to Harlan: I’ll pay you to take out Brayton, since I don’t think I can beat him straight-up

Also, love that MCR has comments turned off on their entire IG. Must suck as a team when you win a team championship, but can’t interact with your fans because your own rider took out your other rider on purpose.

If they keep him on the team, they have no balls. To sit back and allow your rider to put a hit on your other rider, the one with real factory connections, the one that helped with sponsor deals for the team, the one that even helped design the fuckin’ graphics on the bike… and then keep him on the team? Shows you have no balls, period. In that case, if you’re Genova, just stay home I guess, because it looks like it’s Friese’s team now.

This is a good story line. Sometimes i think our sport could use more storylines. The UFC has been doing a phenomenal job of promoting rivalries amongst fighters. Freise is the heel.....we need a good heel right now.

a heal is all good when its ALL a work...

but...

pro MX/SX racing most likely is not a work (RC fuel gate and a few other examples would lean the other way)....and when it's not a work.... Freezeeee puts other riders in danger, and keeps them from making more money/races/championships by his lack of mental health... Freezze isn't ramming guys on the last lap for a win or for a spot into a main event... he smeshes them anywhere/anytime because he can't control his inner rage (like a child can not).... costing others money, time, and championship points... all the while making his own results suffer... Freeze lost the WSX title because of his own stupidity, which is fine, but it's not fine when his stupidity ruins the results of others, even more so a teammate...

and this is before him putting a "hit" out on Brayton, his own teammate... which should mean an immediate lifetime ban in all MX/SX racing...

we have no actual sanctioning bodies anymore... all need to be thrown out.... none work towards the good the sport, or even those involved.... and his team is also responsible... they knew Freezzeee has no self control and is more likely to smesh himself into 10th place than to stay clean and land on the podium... yet they hired him... so MCR can suck it on this one too....

Well, to be fair, if one were to add up all the pages of "Dipshit Friese Moves" over the past decade, guessing it would be well over 50 pages. Laughing Laughing Laughing

I’d expect to see MCR cut ties with Vince soon. Sponsors can’t be happy with how he represented their brand prior to this. Now add in this weekends $2k bounty offer to Harlan. Time to let him go.

Vince actually had some speed this past year. Too bad his legacy will be as a dirty rider.

If Vince did in fact tell JB that he was just jealous because he's better than him, that is a next-level page out of the Alessi infused delusional fantasy playbook. That takes some balls to say that to a guy that has likely out earned him by 30x (on the low end), has ridden for numerous factory teams, has won at the highest level, has apparently done a lot for the well being of that very MCR team, is a class act and someone that basically EVERYONE likes inside the industry and out. Friese is someone that almost everyone hates and it's a gift that keeps on giving at this point on the entertainment and media side. Bummer for JB, but he will always get the last laugh in life over a guy like that. It's only a matter of time before someone pulls a Peick on him again, and it'll be glorious.

if the bribe for takeout is true, should be lifetime ban for both rider and mechanic imo
