So he's prob not gonna enter this event, but, RBSR seems like such a perfect and low-stress chance for James to ride again. If he's written riding off for his own mental health, more power to him. I hope that's not the case and if we don't see him this year, maybe next. On a nicely restored 2005 KX125
Strong disagree. We don't need to see James competing when he's clearly given it up. That'll just trigger his racer instinct and could possibly lead to a crash/injury. If James had been on the bike the past 6 years, I'd probably feel differently but that book has been closed for a while.

Yeah, it'd be amazing to see JS7 go out and ride to the level we remember but it's very unlikely that would happen. The curtain call has long past.

All for him doing a solo run on a KX125 to hype up the event though.

I would love to see him get out and do like a vet run I don't expect him to be competitive nor does anybody really want that.

It was really fun to see Glover do some laps last year, he was obviously well past his prime, that door had also long since closed it was just nice to see one of our childhood heroes on the bike again.

Very interested to see Carson Brown, Cochran, and Ferry in the 125 class.

The press release says it's streaming live exclusively on ESPN+ but the RedBull website shows "Watch Live on Red Bull TV" with a countdown clock.

https://www.redbull.com/ca-en/events/red-bull-straight-rhythm

I know past events streamed live on their website and their YouTube channel.

I'm excited, such a fun event. Wasn't there any talk about the Lawrence bros entering aswell though? At least they still used Jett on the thumbnail. Apparently not..

Right on thanks. I went to Red Bull TV and didn’t see anything there. So that was helpful

I like that Roczen is mixing things up and is not doing what’s ‘expected’.

The only thing I don't like is that they didn't swap out the blue plastics, but you could say that's just nitpicking.

Just for fun... I did concept graphics for Roczen inspired by his love to surfing.

I get it, but still. It looks like a bike someone rides who takes his helmet and goggles of at the same time.

I'm over 50 and agree the bike is ugly. The lightning bolts never did anything for me though.

Just as someone commented on this, it looks like Stevie Wonder has put this kit together

I'm guessing the newly refreshed YZ 2-strokes do not yet have yellow plastics available (in house or aftermarket) yet.

Looks like they've done the best they can.

Still looks cool to me....and a nice homage to Hannah.

Ping said the plastics are going to be yellow.

So the entire industry that turned their back on professional 2 stroke racing is having a professional 2 stroke race and we’re all just to forget they all killed professional 2 stroke racing?

Nothing will ever beat the sound of a crisp, well tuned smoker going through the whoops.

With his ride options limited for next year, I say he goes all-in on a privateer two-stroke. It’s late in his career and he’s out there to have fun, why not? Really put two-strokes back in the spotlight.

Wouldn’t Yamaha/KTM love to have a top-tier rider showing that their 2T’s can still hang with the 4T’s to some extent? Instead of having the yearly privateer guys that struggle to make the main on one? No offense at all to those guys, but it kind of drives home the idea that two-strokes aren’t competitive anymore when they’re racing for 18-20th place. And if anyone could put a two-stroke toward the top of the leaderboard in supercross, it’s Kenny. Give him a little manufacturer support, while he runs a privateer effort to keep banking off his individual sponsors. Everybody wins!

I promise I’m not high, just dreaming, lol.

Red Bull, the always oh so creative Red Bull, innovated this race 8 years ago. It's not the "industry", as in "the deep state".
