I’m talking about riders that most of us didn’t talk about much or, you could say, we kind of forgot about while so were so busy picking out favorites and arguing about who’s gonna win and all that usual stuff. So, who were you surprised or impressed by…that you hadn’t expected to be?
For me, there’s too damn many to list!
But, I’ve got one that was very pleasantly surprising in his fortitude, speed and endurance:
Marvin Musquin
I mean, damn, I know his history; but, there’s A LOT of that “history”…because, Marvin’s been doing it long enough that he’s already backed it down to “just SX”…well, and “development riding”…and volunteering to race…a 250.
At this race, in this weather, you get punished on a 250. You work your ass off to pass the 450s and for your efforts…what do you get? A ton of sand in your face! But, during his 2 Motos…Marvin took his thrashing and delivered. In BOTH motos.
And it was pretty damn awesome to watch.
There are PLENTY more riders that impressed. I’m gonna have to be honest, I had absolutely NO IDEA that Maxime Renaux had so much Speed and “Whoop Ass” in him. He held off Jett & Chase like a veteran champion that’s been doing it for a decade. I mean, damn! That kid looked GOOD!
Hell, I could go on for days.
Who’s your pick?

So overall it was a great result to Podium.
The USA supporters expect too much from their team.
There are too many variables, and on the day riders " Hero" performances, to expect a USA win.
So we'll done to Team USA.
Pit Row
To be fair I was joking and didn't think he would
But still I said it so 9, 42, 28, 35, 22, 11, 18, Supplementaries 6, 10, 38 (I realise he didn't go 1-1 so maybe change a few)
Our boy JCoop made us proud today also 🤟.
Fuck I'd laugh if my numbers came through haha (Wait I don't have a ticket, so no I wouldn't I'd be spewin)
Post a reply to: MXON riders that were better then you'd expected?
