5 minutes less of racing per moto = 20 minutes of extra recovery time between motos.

Ask Simon Längenfelder what he would’ve thought of shortening this years GP at Lommel with only a single lap!

That’s correct. I was there that day and it was 120° heat index if I remember correctly. I was hung over that day and it was miserable. RIP Josh. With that said, I’m not on board with shortening the motos at the most important race of the year, but it’s not up to me.

It's a good idea. It will help everyone.

Strength and endurance yes, but speed and skill are the main elements of this sport.

The stupidity of some the comments here is unfathomable.

So did Tomac his 2nd pro race ever. He was ruined for the summer. Guess he doesn't do well in the heat either

I'm not necessarily pounding the table for shortening to motos, but I'm not letting it ruin the race for me before it starts. It's still a race that gives them plenty of time to make it happen.

So what if it's not hot, and or it rains?

I think it may cause better - or more exciting racing cause if one of them gets a bad start - they will not have the time to put around. They will let it if fly to catch up.

If the heat index is under 102 tomorrow they’re running full motos but if it’s over they’re doing 25

Unpopular opinion, but they could make all the races 25min for all I care. They still end up usually doing 30min anyways after the +2 laps

I hope that this decision becomes a non factor.

There is no next race it’s the last race of the series.

So you know the answer to a question you started a thread about?

Nothing at all. They have been notified days before the event, just have to tweak your game plan a bit....if MX even has a game plan. 5 minutes isn't shit in the scheme of things, people just love to find a way to bitch and moan over stupid shit these days. Can't wait for tomorrow.

No one is saying they are not excited about the race...but the five minutes will do nothing. This is CYA.

Can't wait for next year when they cut motos to 20 minutes...less time racing means less chance of riders getting hurt you know.

There's a promo spot before every race with RC saying that MX is the world's toughest sport so there's that...

I think he's saying it's no big deal if they wreck themselves with heat exhaustion, it's not like they have anything important to do in Michigan in a few weeks.

Which they won't be getting paid a cent for....which event would you go balls out for?

Man, this year has brought out some really weird arguments and opinions. I'm not taking that bait. I just want to watch good racing! Not going to let 5 minutes less racing that the competitors agreed to ruin my enjoyment of the moment.

The people mad about this couldn't even do 5 minutes without needing to pull off.

Not sure how you roll, but I don’t pull off that often
