Just depends on how the conversation went.

If they said , 2 motors in good faith - nope they can tell him to wish in one and shit in the other and see which one gets filled first.
Now..
If they said drop the claim and sign a legal document and we'll give you 2 motors.
It could possibly be fraudulent inducement at a very high level due to the amount of the bike he claimed.
Businesses cant trick people to get them to drop something or sign something by making fake promises.
Even if it was his sponsor and the sponsor made false promises to get him to sign something - they could get into legal trouble also.

Kid looks just like AC to me in this pic! Good for him, glad he got a bike Smile I wonder if he ever imagined it all would have came to this? Good job Brennan for having the balls that resulted in changes being made. I'll leave all my other opinions out of this. I hope he likes the bike, and finds success in whatever future he chooses.

Not a good look for Yamaha, not all all. Jerry Springer show worthy....

As another poster posted, did anyone ask the dealer "Who informed you about Brennan claiming the bike?"

Would love a straight and true answer to that question. My money line would be on Walker.

I asked the dealer, he said he’s the one who informed Walker.

It's hard to keep up who informed the dealer about the claim?

Ya, I don't care what that dude says. At this point I think it's pretty clear Walker spooked him by saying "if this goes through, yamaha could take away your status as a YZ dealer"

The biggest question, why was Walker ever involved?

Cause the dealer hit up walker, the dealer’s son is also trained by Walker (as was Brennan) so he went to him about it. I have yet to have anyone state that there was ever a threat to the dealer or anyone about Yamaha pulling support. Brennan even admitted in his interview with me that it was never stated…he just assumed.

Who cares? Word spreads and his son could have heard it from Brennan or a number of other people could have shared. Walker was involved because he knew the kid for years and was trying to tell him it was a bad look. Sounds like he did that by yelling and threatening his engine guy etc. None of this matters anymore as there is nobody in particular to blame (although I still believe Cotter should be held accountable as his actions were inexcusable, regardless if that impacted the claim or not). He should have the bike, but was pressured by a number of people, and Dad finally said no more.

I've followed this issue through all the ups and downs, I continue to stand by what I said originally. The ONLY parties involved should have been The Ama rep, Brennan/Brennan's dad, and a STAR Yamaha rep. Promoter, Trainer, Brian, Haiden and Yamaha rep all muddied the waters and tainted the official process.

I get that Brian has a dog in the fight as far as the "defaming" comment went however that has zero bearing on the process of the claim.

Was at 5 Guys grabbing a burger. When they called my number and I went to claim my order, I was pulled into a room and yelled at by Deegan and Tim Cotter until I agreed to drop it. Luce promised me some chicken fingers instead. Never got 'em.

I think we’re talking about some Yamaha dirtbike staffers making a massive Organisation look like a bunch of crooks over a stupid amateur race. Say what you want, Yamaha USA losing some face on this one. Kid should have had the bike. Why Lewis would even get involved is beyond me, what a pushover for a grown ass man.

AMA should have, counted the money, then grabbed the bike, then gave the bike to Brennan. Then hand receipts to all partys and walk away. DONE! Then ............Star (or even one of the Deegans) could approach the new owner of the bike (Brennan) about using it for Deegan's last race, a loaner kinda thing. Yes! I nailed it.

My money is on Regan. Or another Star person.

I can see that pissing the dealer off - word comes from an 'opponent' before your guy. And your name is on your guys bike.

Edit: or, it could have just simply come from his kid.

No there was some amatuers there that weekend, but the 19 pages is about an amatuer meeting with the ugly professional corporate side of the event. This isn’t the 60s anymore and protest songs and marches take a backseat to social media platforms. What you gotta ask yourself is why so many people that are usually silent have gone apeshit on here.

An yet none of this made a difference to my invoicing and paychecks yesterday.

Nor will it have any impact on today's motos.

This is what Mathes is hung on and it IS important that the dealer was never actually threatened. Brennan just assumed that was the case based on what? He didn't pull that out of thin air. Chris from Rallye has been tight-lipped other than to clarify that Yamaha didn't threaten him. The only thing that makes sense is that he did say or imply that to Brennan's dad when he pulled him aside. It is THAT conversation, coupled with Walker and Luce being there, that ultimately killed the deal. It's a shit look on the dealer's part to pull support from Brennan after he pulled the claim at the request of the dealer/sponsor.

But really, I'm just here to help this sucker get to 20 pages.

We have been down this road before and the goobers at the AMA never seem to learn.

But ALL this about amateur racing.......good Lord!

I'm fairly against a user that creates a new account just to live in one thread and project their opinion so heavily that they take up half the posts in it. I locked it for a few days and if they want to participate in the forum as a whole afterwards, cool. If this is the only reason they're interest in being here, then good riddance.

The 'arm' is the stroke length.

Increase the arm by 3 mm and the stroke increases 6 mm- 3 mm at each end.

I'm no motor expert, but this has totally stopped me down. Isn't stroke the distance the piston covers from bottom of its stroke to the top? So if you lower the deck of the piston and increase the length of the rod, with no changes to the crank, won't the piston travel the same length?

I thought lowering the piston and increasing rod length was more about reducing friction?
Correct less side loading of the piston in the bore. I have a stroked long rod LS in a vette that has the piston pin so far up the piston that it is into the oil ring. It uses a backer ring (thicker) to support the oil ring in that spot.
