Yes, sometimes we run stories on rumors or private sources but I at least try to fact check them.
The little bit of digging I did between other parties involved and even a couple who sorta saw what happened from a far had literally the exact opposite to say as to what's been said by the accusing source. Beyond that, the primary source for this story (Harris) has basically been black balled from this site for his past business dealings and interactions. So I don't hold much faith in his side.
This is me trying to be somewhat of what someone would consider a real journalist...I get yelled at weekly for stuff I already write or say, I don't care about that stuff very much. But I'm not going to sling accusations for a party or parties that seem to have an agenda and want someone else to be the mouth piece and not take responsibility for their claims, accusations, and story. In my book, that's very irresponsible and not professional, at all.
(Also...again, I claim my job to be Content Director/Creator...I don't proclaim to be a journalist by trade)
I find it hard to believe that Star would allow their engine package to be looked at by an engine builder. I’m sure it’s that special engine package that brings them some of the best amateurs and pros. (Remember the whole Thrasher saga) It’s hilarious that some people desperately want this to be a massive deal and others think this is nothing and we should all move along (and quickly). I look forward to someone from mx sports eventually coming on here to tell us all a nice story about how this was just a big ol’ “misunderstanding”

If there's any truth to that statement, then Yamaha Corporation should be punished like in Formula 1. Maybe all Yamaha factory riders "sit out" this Saturday at Unadilla. The "Punishment" must be more severe than the crime. We'll never know the truth and I'm suprised this thread is still here.
