Why not Joey Savatgy on Team USA?

He used to RIP on the PC 250 and he's been putting in some good rides this year with Red Bud being his best ride to date. Would he be a good option on the 250?

Too up and down for me.

I think Dungeys the best pick honestly.

He never quits, stays out of carnage, makes good decision and is rock solid.

His speed is as good as anyone not named eli or chase and he was even running their pace for the two laps before his ktm quit on him.

Joey has done awesome, him and that KX450 seem to be a great combo.

Don't think we should have him step down, plus he is still building from his knee injury.

Really think the best option is Cooper, as long as he keeps improving and getting his mojo back.

I'm mega impressed with what Joey has done this year and super happy for him. But his situation is not stable enough right now IMHO. The knee, the fill in ride, the next year unknown... Cooper or Craig. I think it's going to be Craig.

All of the above, plus you would have the same Factory/PC conflict that was brought up in connection with Anderson.

Too bad there wasn’t one more race to see if Cooper could back up his Washougal results, maybe he’s finally getting back to pre injury (race) fitness. No question he has sprint speed and he gets good starts.

On a side note, look at the lap times between Cooper and Craig in the second motos last week. Pretty damn close to the same. Was the track much worse between the 250/450 Motos?

So you're saying the guy without a ride should race the MXON? I hate to sound like a jerk, but you know how these "fill-in" deals work, right?

The day after Pala 2, Savatgy is unemployed.

Aren't there reports of Kawi keeping him next year and fielding a 3 man team?

Here's my order for what I would do for MX2.

Cooper (MX2)
Dungey (MX3) / Sexton (MX2)
Martin (MX2)
Craig (MX2)

I don’t really understand why everyone is so insistent on putting a 450 guy on a 250. I think it’s a good idea if there was 3 guys who were clearly the best 3 guys and you want all of them. For example, Anderson dropping down to race it. Once he and Barcia ruled themselves out, none of the other 450 guys are that good that they absolutely have to be on the team. If you’re gonna go with Craig or anyone in that 5-10 range, you may as well go with Cooper IMO

Lol JS 17 is what 9th in the 450 class. You do realize he would be 12th if some more guys were racing this summer.

He didn't start racing until round 2 and had a very bad Millville. Look at his individual race results.

He's unavailable. I think he's having some procedure right after the season ends.

I am not sure why Craig is not the obvious answer. He is both a recent 250 and 450 rider.....not to mention he did pretty well this SX season!!!!

I'm coming around on the idea of picking Dungey, too. But if Dungey is in, he's better off on the 450. Putting Eli on that Star 250 so he could rip a decent start or tear through the pack would be the move.

Plus, how epic would it be for both Dungey and Tomac to end their outdoor careers with an MXdN win at home.

Carson Brown on a 2 Stroke... Screw it, on a BBR pitbike?

Agreed, it's getting a bit much, Joey has done well while he's been able to ride this year, but dropping him down to a 250 for MXdN is just crazy even before the Kawi drama.
