Full disclosure... aside from a handful of enduro rides, due to financial and other circumstances, I haven't raced or ridden seriously in almost fifteen years.
In the last few years, I've developed a ludicrous phenomenon and I'm wondering if other ex-racers/ riders have it as well.
Literally every night, I dream that I'm back on my dirtbike. I'll go to my dad's old garage, and there she'll be waiting for me. My dream self usually remembers that I never actually sold it. Just the other night I dreamt I took it to the Unadilla amateur track and was faster than I ever was. Then, like an ex-smoker dreaming about smoking, I wake up longing.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who has this.

Even if it's just a cheap old beater, get hold of a bike and have some fun. Don't need to compete, don't need to please anyone else, just enjoy yourself.
A big rush to get to the line, and then I realise I am missing gloves, or helmet or need fuel and I miss the race.
The other is always the falling dream - I’ll be riding, then all the sudden I hit the lip of a jump that sends me 200 feet into the air, I scream as I begin the decent and then right at impact I pop up in my bed. I never get use to it, wake up with my heart at 160BPM every single time

I remember one time dreaming about racing Anderson on 65s at lorettas.
I wonder if non-moto people ever have similar dreams. Maybe driving cars off of cliffs or crashing airplanes or something?
I once had a dream that I was riding a kx250f and was absolutely ripping my local track. I had this dream about three times within a month.
About 6months later I went and bought that kx250f and got a lot faster over the next two years.
I dream often of my old 2-strokes and going "home" to ride them. I usually wake up frustrated because I can never seem to actually ride them. Same as Moto Nomad wrote above. I can't find a piece of gear or the bike disappears. Isn't that strange?
I ride off road all the time...but on an ADV bike. I have not ridden MX in nearly 30 years.
2-strokes are dear to my heart.....but MX days are gone for me.
Playing basball in the outfield and i fly ball was hit to me and i cant get my glove on, i always wake up.
Rhe mx one is im on my 77 cr125 and hit a jump and never land just go highr and higher, i wake up pissed cuz it does carry over to big jumps when i have rhe balls to try one. Peaky faces are the worst lol.
Pit Row
Once in a blue moon I’d be on a bike and be absolutely cruising, like its as easy as a video game
another common theme in my dreams - I can wheelie everywhere, like Doug Domokos wheelie king style.
