I like KR a lot...I do think he should sometimes stay off of IG when he's frustrated. That being said, my purely anecdotal observation is that he's just not in a head space to ride through bike setup issues. Tomac is kind of the same way (as is Dungey), where they won't override the bike when it's off. Villo, RC, etc. would just smash through stuff no matter how ill-handling the bike was. I think we're talking about tiny fractions of percentages at that level. Obviously, Chase Sexton has a better setup right now for his riding style (and he may be more willing to take chances at his age when they're a little off). Those injuries Roczen went through have to have had some impact on his psyche....

Might b a reference to a Bantum. A Bantum is the baddest ass c… of all the roosters. A box van I bought in Maryland had Bantum racing on the front and sides. Once I figured out what it was I left it on.

Not sure why people cant accept he has a fragile health system, just what it is. Serious doubt he would not like to be able to hang.

This ia not new he has to deal with and fans have to deal with his reults, but to call him out because of his health is pretty weak, when you have seeen what he is capable of when feeling strong.

Yeah, this has to be so frustrating for him. If it were as easy as him having the energy to hang it out more than he is, he would obviously been doing it.

I’d rather have Kenny fade than have him hold on for dear life and endo his brains out. He’s riding smart and there is a lot to be said for that.

Basically, only two riders can hold Tomac pace right now for a whole moto and one of them is Eli.

At different times this year both Sexton and Kenny have been able to keep the pace.

True but I am talking about right now. Not the same Eli today as we had at round one.

The fact that he’s out there riding at this level given his past circumstances is admirable to say the least. He’s still a bad ass in my book. Much respect..

Maybe an Alice in Chains reference. I think the lyrics to the song Rooster match pretty well with his recent narrative.

Omg. Please stop with the health crap. He’s a professional athlete and badass. He drops the red anchor consistently and finally admitted it in his own post. He is riding out the end of his career. This isn’t NEW, just hope he finishes the season. The record books don’t care about injuries from 5-10 years ago. Enjoy his time on the track and see what happens moving forward. Late season fade is typical…..

Going out on a limb here and thinking you truly do not understand the immune system and how it works/reacts to events? Kenny is in shape, if he wasn't in shape then Colorado which was 96 degrees and at high elevation would have kicked his ass. Instead he put on his best performance this year in terms of sheer grit and fight. Red Bud weather wasn't overbearing by any stretch. Perhaps Kenny is actually telling the truth? When you have multiple surgeries it takes months upon months for things to restore even after you are deemed fit and healthy. Lingering effects from drugs, and sheer body shock are a thing that happens and your immune system itself battles things constantly. He has a suppressed immune system, anyone with rheumatoid arthritis, or even a large wound understands this. Couple this with pushing yourself NON stop to stay in shape and the exertion from that and racing and it is not a good recipe for success. Kenny has chosen to battle the demons and do what he loves because he loves doing it. Imagine with all of that and the guy is still winning races and top three in points. Sometimes I question if people really pay attention to detail.

I’ll go out on another limb and let you know we all have heard this and understand. I’m glad he is here racing and putting in top finishes. As you explained, multiple excuses for his fading and poor results mid to late season. Not something new. Enjoy him racing and doing well. He told you he dropped anchor. It sucks, but as you explained, it should be expected with his past injuries. No more sob stories please. Enjoy the racing and hopefully he finishes this season. 🙌

the fact that he makes these posts is his downfall, IMO.

he KNOWS the whispers that surround him and he addresses them. By addressing them, he manifests his own mental issues. It's honestly pretty strange that he doesn't have people around him to help him work through things. I feel bad for the guy - you know he's going to fade, his competition knows he's going to fade, and then he admits he's fading....thereby guaranteeing that he fades.

he's forever sick, struggling, frustrated, mystery illness, confused, tired, lethargic, bike issues, mad, lost, directionless....and then those very things happen to him.

I actually like the guy and bet he's a legit dude....but the history books will show that the #1 person that slowed KR's climb up the books is............KR.

Bottom line, dude is one of the elite riders and we are better as a sport when he is at the gate. He has been a fighter this season and I'm digging it. Hoping for a full send at Southwick.

Totally agree.

I hate that it's been that way with him. I so wanted to see him pull an SX title.

He really needs to STFU about his health. ...and that's not a disrespect to all he's been through.

His problem is not that he was “sick this week” and he needs to acknowledge that. He will never be back to pre-2017 Kenny. His immune system is f’d and everyone knows it. So rather than blaming his bad races on “being sick this week” he just needs to say his body couldn't do it this week.

Kenny and Chase could have the same sickness and Chase would most likely blow through it and no one would know on race day.

Kenny will never be “100%” again. He will always have races where he drops an anchor halfway through and it will always be because his immune system is f’d.

dropped anchor hard from 2nd to 7th. He get hurt? Or just have "a day"?
What happened to KROC? 2017 happened. Those who think he’s emotionally weak… you don’t come back from those types of injuries if you’re emotionally weak. If he has emotionally blockage, he needs to speak with AC9 about ayachusca.

You have no knowledge to claim all these things you wrote about his health.

Maybe he was just "sick this week" as Dungey was a few weeks ago. We will see at Southwick.

Kenny and his agent were pretty damn transparent about it the last few years.
