I would imagine "pays the county off" actually means submitted all the right information and received approval and permits needed to run his business, just like any other legit business. Everything is not a conspiracy. I would guess Tyla did not cross all t's or missed an i.

Sexton rides and Trains at Tyla’s Compound but rumor has it KTM want him but riders don’t want to ride at Baker’s but ktm pay millions to baker so the ktm group have to train there. If I was Tyla I’d go send the Zooloo mafia to baker and tell him what’s up .

Baker is commercial, the one in question is not. there is a clear distinction in the county's zoning codes.

I personally can't see why the same permit with restrictions can't be obtained by Rattray, that Baker has.

He's screwed now, once you get shut down for violating a special permit or zoning then you pretty much have no chance of getting it back. Now if he wants to try again anyone whoever is against it will bring up that he violated the terms of the orignal agreement and he may not even get a hearing or vote by the county, he screwed himself.

No. They sold the place. He tried a couple more times at different places but most Kansas land is zoned Agricultural. Very difficult to get re-zoned without deep pockets and back room deals.

There is some logic in what he says but the nomadic lifestyle isn't that cheap or comfortable. I reckon if you had the money for a badass rig and could work on-line for stacks of cash...it'd be ok.

I have way too many tools and toys to even consider it. But, I would really like to be more rural. 30 years ago you could buy an acreage with a fixer-upper and an outbuilding/barn for under $50k. Now, you'd be hard pressed to buy land with no water, electric, or even access road for that much.

Going out on a limb here but I’m assuming Tyla’s property is not zoned for commercial use and that’s why it’s being referred to as a private motocross track and Bakers is likely zoned commercial allowing him to operate under commercial rules and regulations...

We probably will never know why Tyla gets boned and Baker doesn't...and in the end...Baker will most likely get the same bone. I watched a track get closed not because of noise...but because of the dust that cars created driving to the track. There was a gravel but longer way to the track that would have avoided the complainers house but people took the shorter dirt road. Result...track closed.

I know this is easy to say and not to do, and maybe someone has already brought it up. Blake’s place is right up the road and in a different county why doesn’t Tyla try to sell his facility and purchase Blake’s?
