That is a regional title. JLaw is not even in the AMA records, but Dungey is right there at number 5. Check for yourself;http://mxbob.com/AllTime/AllTimeAMAWins.htm
I am confused how isn’t JLaw on that list? He has more wins then some of those guys on that list. Same amount of titles as like Justin Bogle.

Can you imagine if Vital was all aflutter about Justin Bogle potentially riding a national, when he has been inarguably, career-wise a better rider with at-least as impressive style?

Because REGIONAL wins/titles are not counted in NATIONAL (125/250/450 nationals, 450 or formerly 250 supercross) series stats.

In fact, until recently regional wins didn’t count for National points/numbers. There was a reason for that.

I mean, bogle raced two nationals literally this year. Not like he’s been MIA for 12 years.

Jlaw's biggest claim is apparently beating a teen-aged Ryan Dungey.

Bogle has beaten grown-man Tomac, Roczen, etc.

When did bogle beat Dungey for a championship?

Edit: ah, nice stealth edit there buddy. Point stands, when did Bogle beat Tomac or Roczen for a (even regional) title? Did I miss that?

I didnt say for a championship.

Both JLAw and Bogle only have a few wins. JLAW beat a teenaged Dungey when he was 22, and we are celebrate like he outgamed him. Of course he should.

And truthfully, I don’t think bogle has ever actually beat Roczen in a heads up race? His famous Lakewood ride was only against Eli

I didn't intend it to be stealth. I thought Dungey may have raced the same year Bogle won in Thunder Valley and Budds. Either way the accomplishment is more than JLAW ever touched.

Bogle has beaten grown-man Tomac, Roczen, etc.
Jason Lawrence beat grown-man legends of the sport like Kevin Windham, James Stewart, etc.

I'm just not sure you're making the best argument on something you say is inarguable. Bogle has 0 podiums in 450SX, JLaw has 1. They both have a 250 championship. Bogle has 1 podium in 450 MX (a win), and JLaw has 1 podium as well, a third at Washougal 2009.

So all-in-all, JLaw has more 450 podiums than Bogle, although Bogle has that one overall that I think weighs heavier. But, Bogle has over a decade of results and Lawrence has about 5 years.

You're right. I am wrong. And I agree.

JLaw is arguably (but maybe not) a Bogle-level rider. I do really like Bogle's style, though.

This is why I was confused by that link. I wasn’t defending jlaw lol!

But by what you just said he should be on the same list as Bogle or many of the others that are on that random list.

Let’s not forget how much of the first turn JLaw cut off to get into the front 2-3 guys in Daytona where most of the top guys were sprawled out in the first turn. If that’s todays AMA he’s getting docked so fucking fast

With that being said, I’m a big JLaw riding style guy, he has one of the most unique styles in the last 20 years. We need a few JLaws to spice it up some.

Would he qualify? Serious question
I think he may be able to put a heater in to qualify , but I doubt he puts in 30 plus 2 and scores points

Everything I've read about J-Law over the years (mostly here), is that he rides all the time, and that he still hauls the mail.
I wouldn't bet against him qualifying.
The question is where he would finish. Top 10?

Yeah. Let's be real: The best rider in history, at the same age as JLaw, just left the series.

He was an incredibly disciplined athlete throughout his career, right up to present-day. He was an insane talent to match anybody in the sport. He had only a few months since his last race, full factory support, and he was just inside 5-10 postioning.

There's been a big gap between the front runners and the next group, this next group being well within the top 10. We're talking 45 seconds or more behind the winner.
How in the world do you know where an ex-pro, who never stopped riding would finish?
I don't.
If he accomplished a top 10, that would be great.
Considering how difficult it was for Dungey to find that speed, it would be a shocker if JLaw got into the lead group on a single race.
I'd also be surprised if he finished below 15th.

I actually know exactly where an ex-pro who never stopped riding would finish.

Because Cairoli is the ex-pro who dispatched RV, secured several more championships, continued for a decade, and never stopped riding. He is roughly the same age as JLaw, an enormously better pro at all levels of competition, and a 5-10 guy (at best) in every race he participated in this year's series.

Watched the entire 08 series where j law beat dungey.... really weird to watch, dungey was crashing his brains out at every round!..... lol.. made it pretty easy for j law..... maybe that loss turned Ryan into the diesel, because he rarely crashed after that series....

At this point... j law is pure legend.... dude could sell a Lot of product.... absolitely amazed he isn't a brand ambassador for someone... whether he ever puts another wheel on the track for not....
