I was told that back east dirt is the best - WTF?

Lake Elsinore Motocross on a august afternoon looked less slippery than whatever surface was in Gillette Stadium yesterday.

Did they truck in the dirt from Hangtown or something?

Depends where you’re at, You can’t get a shovel In the ground where I’m at in Maryland, it’s practically shale, 15 minutes away it starts to get sandy, 20 minutes the other direction it’s red clay

That dirt definitely looked like they were riding on Class 5. Or unsifted farm dirt from Earl's down the street or something. Whatever that dirt was, it was garbage.

Guess it is a generational saying maybe. We all learned from the apollo prgrm that moon dirt was dry and chalky like. Common for us to call dry, dry slick, chalky shit “moon dirt” like beach sand for deep loose sand or wet beach sand when its good!

I don't care what the dirt was like as long as its different, different riders will get to shine. Just wish outdoors had more variety of dirt than them all aiming for same loam.
