A few guys struggled with this massive triple during press day. It's getting changed before practice tomorrow morning.

That triple out of the corner of this size seems stupid. Who designed this to begin with?

In race conditions what would have happened if all the racers don't get a drive out of the corner? Was this the design of the track to begin with?

What is the AMA referee's take on this obstacle?

If we are not really caring about rider safety, why not put a live shark tank between the second and third jumps to motivate the riders to get over?

Wow, if a regular triple is 65 to 70 feet peak to peak, I would guess 90 feet? That thing looked big.

So many lost peaks this year! Too many head knocks. Hope he's okay.

How often are there comments on here about how the 250's are hitting the same jumps as the 450's and how 450's can hit a triple from the inside line of the previous corner? Now they build a jump where a 450 has to rail a berm to clear it and it gets changed. I'd hate to be a track builder

That's a helluva reaction to one crash and a couple of cases. Laughing

Like we don't have enough people in all 3 classes out with injuries. Stupid.

Hope Hunter is ok.

Malcom clips the jump by 2-3ft and it gives him a nasty kick, not forgiving if you come up short on it.

How often are there comments about how the bikes are too powerful, should get rid of 450s or to slow them down with track layout? Now they build a jump that uses more of it's power and people complain that it's changed.

Just like people complaining about all the injuries and "deathcross" then complain that a dangerous obstacle is changed.

Landing looks like it has flat spot on top then a square transition to the downside from this angle.

If they rounded it and kept the distance the same I think problem would have been solved.

Looked like 90% were clearing no problem. Probably changing it cause one of the Aussie wonder boys almost weeded himself.

That doesn't change that the jump is physically 30+% longer than normal so would need more power to clear. Yet so many people talk about the bikes needing slowed down, then complain that a high speed obstacle is changed.

The most important thing is it was cought on video and made it to the gram! This fu king sport is brutally short sighted and ignorant to the prosperity of growth. Lets kill off all the participants. Why not just table and angle the landing if your gonna go through that much effort anyways. Sad.

Horrible thought and I hope it never happens. Who is gonna be the first to get killed in this sport? They keep sharpening the razors edge.... this shit is out of control. I was so excited about Altanta track but it's no good if people are going to get hurt by pushing the envelope.

People have been killed racing Supercross. It has been a while (2005-ish I think), but it has happened.

Mitch is probably looking at that triple and wishing this wasn't Forkner's first race back.

I swear to god the people on this form! “Tracks are to easy” “bikes are to fast” “jumps are to big” “jumps out of corners are to hard” “theres no obstacles to separate riders” “foot pegs are to sharp” and on and on and on.

If they cannot make the jump don’t do it! If it’s sketchy and top runners don’t do it it gives guys behind a chance to catch up. Leave it and let the riders race.

Until you hit something for the first time there is no way of knowing how fast to hit it. Now hunter knows to go a bit faster. Barcia jumped it to flat.
Dont think I'm a fan of 22 riders hitting that on the first lap though, could get ugly if a slower guy gets a good start.

There was plenty 250's over jumping it, and not factory bikes at that. 100f they say. I bet he tried to jump it from inside. Over reaction.

Nothing wrong woth that jump. The landing should not the normal come up short and die variety at that length.
It looks like the issue is people trying to hit it to quickly by scrubbing from what I have saw and heard from people there.
