Just a guess but maybe his boots hit the ground when his bike was compressed. That’s the only think I can think of that would send him into a Superman so quickly.

IHe’s had a lot of wrecks since his head slam on the last lap of the race he almost won.

huh? you can literally see the imprint of his chest protector before the crash. i'm pretty sure all the alpinestars riders are wearing their new line of chest protectors. no reason not to with how light and flexible they are now days.
