Tomac is a bad ass, but it's good to see Webb back on fire.

I knew he had something for them when he held off ferrandis in the heat race. Starts are good now, held his top end speed through the entire race. Sucks he couldn’t have turned things around like this a few rounds earlier.

Hell yes! Racing is better when Coop is dialed. He looked really good tonight.

I wish he hadn't gotten burned by McElrath...we'll never know if he would have held off Eli.

I have to say...I would have loved to see Coop win Daytona. ...but I'm happy for Tomac getting his "6".

Chiz chizzed on him in front of me in the left hand 180 at the west end of the track, preventing him from trippling onto the step off. Tomac gained at least a second there with about 2 to go. Then the next lap two more lappers apparently didn’t see the blue flags in the right hander after crossing the start straight.

I guess that’s part of the game but it definitely sucks.

Yes, it is part of the game. Sometimes you benefit from it and sometimes it bites you in the azz
But I’m not in the camp of black flagging lappers.

Wait..."Mr. Racecraft" got stymied by lappers??? That can't be.

He did ride great though. He will win one soon if he keeps this up.

He started up front and went backwards. Not really all that different from the rest of 2022. Eli put about 3 seconds on him immediately after passing him. Far from a breakthrough ride.

Huh? Just pointing out the facts. He led the race, got passed, then got dropped. Nice podium, but not exactly a breakthrough ride. Those generally come when you work your way forward, not backward.

So according to your genius logic you have to get a bad start in order to have a breakthrough ride? He beat 21/22 riders straight up and gave the current points leader and all-time winningest rider at Daytona everything he could handle. But I get it, the world is full of idiots like yourself.

Looked to me like Cooper got Kenny’d tonight. Which means the assassin got assassinated.

He is looking real good though. Glad to see him turning things around.

Its the east coast. I figured he had to be better. It seems in prior years, he just tries to get through the start of the West as best as he can. Then turns it up on the East

Yeah holeshot and leading 18 mins of a main is definetly not going in the right direction is it. I don’t really like Webb either but jeez dude

Got a bit of a free kick on the first lap with everyone behind Webb forgetting why they were in the race, but still good to see he’s turning it around.

No.
What he's saying is that pulling the holey certainly makes life easier, then two of your big competitors take themselves out (Ando & Malc) whilst also slowing down Eli.

Then Eli chipped away at his lead and got him.

In truth, Coop had most things handed to him on a plate in that race, all but a couple of poor decisions by lappers. (Although it could be argued the poor decisions were by himself..)

So, the result was good, but to me it doesn't yet signify a return to the form that we expect of him or a 'breakthrough'.

And go easy on the insults- the forum doesn't need people like you throwing insults at people. Be nice.

Lappers or not he knew Eli was going to get him. That lil.fellla knew he was gonna get run down one way or another. Let's be honest here.

On top of that a lapper only becomes a lapper by actually being lapped

Um, he beat 20 riders, not 21. Tomac is the guy who beat 21 riders……

Yep, Webb didn't say a word last season with Deano ignored the blue flag for an entire lap (blocking Kroc) and handed Webb a win.

"It was just a racing incident" What ya gonna do!! Shit happens
