Something looks very off with that bike. My eyeballs could be playing tricks on me but the engine case looks really big compared to the cylinder and the shape of the pipe seems weird. Also the swingarm looks like the main pivot is set really far forward. I can't tell if I'm having a stroke or if anybody else is seeing it also...

Hell yeah. If KTM keeps developing 2 strokes it's kinda hard not to be a fan.

Be interesting how the rumored tb injection is on these bikes.

Ktm made a smart move making all the big bike frames identical. Good way to streamline production.

I've been hoping the 23 KTM has TBI as my boy is getting ready to go to a 125.

Interesting. That's not an oem pipe???

Hope the bike doesn't get too much heavier or slower.

What is the news on the 250 smoker? Will it loose its carb?

That 3-5lb isn’t a big deal. I think it will be more since a battery is involved. But if it’s with a -5hp at peak then that won’t be so awesome.

I find it hard to believe they’d put out a closed course race engine that is down 5hp too its predecessor

No shit. That's one of the fugliest bikes I think I've ever seen. Hideous is kind. Smile

Sad, because I think the current Husky is the best looking bike out there.

Yeah me too. But those plastic shapes with those seams, along with that way busy graphics set make that thing horrid. And what is with the seat cover? It matches nothing else on the bike. Barf!

Clutch cover is fine, ignition cover a lot bigger but that makes sense given it needs juice to run efi.

Pipe isn't production imo

Swing arm bolt is behind the cover, you are looking at the engine I think

If they release an e-start TBI mx 125, I might have to buy a new bike in 24!

I think it’s because it’s a screenshot of a video?

I mean it's great that the Pontiac Aztec design team finally found some work but did it have to be at Husky?

the 21 TE 125 is 27 lbs heavier than the 21 TC125. starter, battery, injection, who knows what else. all that stuff adds up.

Who’s bike is this? Team and rider?
How do they have a preproduction bike?
What series/ country is it being raced/ ridden in?

Max Ernecker racing in the German ADAC Masters. At this point it’s probably a production bike, just not on sale yet

Thats not exactly an apples to apples comparison since the TE also has a spring fork, big tank, lights, oil tank, oil pump, etc.

Im sure it will be heavier, but it’ll be the net increase of the TBI, starter, battery, stator / harness, electronic power valve minus the kickstart, carb, etc.

I bet it gains 10-12 lbs. The Factory edition gained 4-5 lbs this year. Add fuel pump and starter/battery/electronics to a bike that doesn't have them now and it should gain more weight than the factory edition did. I hope I am wrong and it only gains 5 lbs. I hope the price doesn't go up $1k+ either...

My 21 125xc dry weight is 194. Ready to ride with a full tank, dirt bike channel weighed his in at 220. I think 3-5lbs weight gain for the tbi sounds about right.

The electric power valve is the winner. My sons 21 sherco 125 has an electric power valve and its a ripper compared to his YZ125.

Changing the power valve opening rate at the flip of a switch sounds pretty neat. Get ready for 2 stroke map switches to make a huge difference in engine character.

I think a lot of people are using "what they know" from previous revisions of the 2T TBI systems. The new systems are suppose to be considerably better & have MUCH better ECUs/ECU settings.

One thing I'm not a real big fan of is the "One Size Fits All" frame approach. This isn't the 1st time we've seen this under the KTM banner. i -am not- saying it can't work; but, I don't think I want 250/300 or even 450 dim's on a 125/150.

Seems to me that the KTM 2T engines are a generation ahead of most the other brands. But, as others are thinking...we haven't seen, for ourselves, a 2T TBI that preforms as well/better than a carb'd version...again...that's "yet".

And, yes, that bike does look somewhat "thrown together".

I'm guessing it HAULS. Also guessing that the pipe is one of several that they've developed for testing.
