Admin Note: Minneapolis Supercross Covid policy is as follows: For event entrance, attending public must show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19/PCR test that was conducted within 72 hours of the event's start time. Either of these routes will gain you access to the event alongside a valid ticket.

Just an fyi for anyone going to Minneapolis. The article also stated it includes ticketed events. I really wish I wouldn’t of bought ticket’s already…..

Ahaha brilliant.

Love when these sort of realisations happen.

Fuck Minneapolis. If you can possibly go to Indianapolis instead, do it. It was a much better experience before '20 as well.

Went to indy last year it was great and a nice stadium. I'm opting to go to St louis this year instead because it's a shorter drive for me

Chiming in to say that the movie Don't Look Up (it's on Netflix) is fantastic. Draw your own parallels to this Covid mess. What a time to be alive!

I was against going at first with my two boys, but with the tickets 25% off I just got 3 tickets in row 15 for $30 each. Per US BANK Stadium rules. All we have to do is get a negative test within 3 days of the event by doctor. I heard you don’t need to wear mask once in stadium.

Tried cleaning this one up a bit.

Two things...

One: if you want to attend the Minneapolis Supercross, you will either have to show proof of Vaccination or a negative PCR test that's within 72 hours of the event.

Two: Covid discussions on this forum are becoming unbearable. Basically here's the deal, no more Covid discussions in Moto-Related. I've been preaching this for months now and many don't seem to understand it. The consequence for continuing down this rabbit hole with be an account suspension. Covid-19 has brought on worse divineness amongst users than Politics or Religion...

If you'd like to discuss Covid on repeat, I highly recommend Facebook, Parlor, Discord, Reddit...anywhere but here. Please go be someone else's problem.

Thank you!

"I'm just here to talk about the motocross stuff"

I clicked in to see the literal policy because we typically go to Minneapolis or St Louis every year.

Your Motoheads are correct. Its sadly a shit show here currently if you're anywhere near the cities. Attendance is going to be abysmal so Im not shocked they're putting tickets on sale.

A lot of people were trying to get refunds seeing as the mandates came out after everyone bought tickets but Ticket Master is saying you have a choice so no refunds.

Fight for the refund and keep pushing. We fought TicketMaster via email and got our money back for concert tickets. There was zero mention of any Covid policy when we bought the tickets. We even checked the venue the morning of the show and there were zero requirements. We found out at the venue doors that the artist (Judas Priest) had requested the policy, not the venue. It took awhile but, we were refunded.

I bought the ticket insurance and was refunded no questions asked. Glad I did because it would of been a pain trying to sell the tickets. I've seen quite a few people selling tickets in facebook groups due to the vaccine policy. Attendance will probably be terrible and SX probably won't be going back anytime soon
I still have my tickets and have not filed a claim yet as we have 2 weeks until the race and several businesses thankfully filed suit a couple weeks ago against the city & mayor over the unjust mandate because biz owners have to take an already depleted staff and waste resources on checking papers upon entry.

https://www.startribune.com/restaurant-owners-sue-minneapolis-and-mayor…

The lawyers representing the establishments requested a temporary restraining order on the mandate while the ruling is being decided, however that was struck down last week. Either way, let's hope within the next week or so they win the case and it's removed immediately just in time for the race. This will most likely be the last time I'm in the city of Mlps (moving to FL in the fall if all goes as planned, don't worry FL guys no MN politics coming with) and the east coast 250 class is going to be exciting.

Officially required but it seems like maybe it's quite loosely enforced. This is regarding the final '22 home game for the Vikings:

Still it’s a shame there can’t be civil comments related to COVID rules and participation at a supercross. Regional rules are good to know in making your decisions.

Noted. Like I stated earlier in this thread, nice & convenient that the mayor rolls this out after the final vikings game (sarcasm).

Edit: just found that article you screenshot. If this ruling isn't overturned, those that do go to SX will be constantly harassed by those sign holders since the stadium will be empty.

Also, SoFi has a similar mandate and the top photo in his article shows the status of that: https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-02-03/super-bowl-fans-wil…

I know its been a year ago now but in indy last year the mask policy really depended on who the usher in your section was and if they enforced it or not. I got stuck in a section with a maskhole and he was constantly threatening to throw people out and get security if he saw you unmasked and not actively eating or drinking, meanwhile in other sections around people were unmasked and the ushers didn't say a word. The way I got around the mask rule was just had popcorn and took my sweet time eating it

It's a vaccine. They aren't asking you to cut your balls off or amputate a leg. It is literally just a vaccine.

Fucking children. Good grief. Collectively, just a bunch of whiney ass babies.

Could you imagine having that be your job? I have to remind myself on toughest days running my biz that something such as that is someone's day-to-day, yikes.

I have a feeling in mlps those sign carriers will be all over the place and with a crowd of probably >10,000 people they'll be able to focus even more. Still holding out for this lawsuit to go in our favor.

No news on the lawsuit results. Just one relatively new news article from a restaurant owner stating their sales are down 40% compared to locations in cities outside Mlps. We’re getting down to the wire but it’s pretty evident that the mayor doesn’t care at all that there likely be no biz’s left in DT Mlps, “just part of the plan”.

I took a quick look at Ticketmaster as a buddy of mine bought tickets recently (he got the insurance) & mentioned there were a lot of seats available. And wow, that stadium is looking empty. This will probably be the final stop Mlps gets for a long time (unless city leadership changes, which it won’t).

Bring it back to Tampa 👍🏻

I went to a packer v Vikings game in November at us bank and masks were not mandatory. Yes they walk around with those signs asking you to mask but 95% of the massive crowd didn’t. Go to the Supercross next week and enjoy life. I’ll be there.

Should be a high of 35 and a low of 12. Has been much worse, like 4 years ago it was a blizzard during the race.

Now there's hope the mandate could be lifted before the supercross. Fingers crossed

https://www.fox9.com/news/st-paul-could-lift-vaccine-mandate-for-restau…
Came here to share this exact article. Let's hope mlps follows suit quickly.

From the article: https://www.fox9.com/news/st-paul-could-lift-vaccine-mandate-for-restau…

"In Minneapolis, Mayor Frey says he hopes to lift Minneapolis’ vaccine mandate for dine-in restaurants as soon as evidence supports the decision. The end of the week is a possibility, but he wants to review data with the experts."

With him stating "restaurants" we shall see if the removal of the mandate includes venues, my guess is probably not, but we'll just wait for the news to come out.
