Paid him back:

Tomac took over the points lead from Justin Barcia who had a strange night. Not only did Barcia suffer an uncharacteristic bad start, but he also got into it early with Justin Bogle while they were both battling just inside the top 10. Bogle was left on the ground for some time before remounting and going a lap down. When Barcia came around to lap Bogle, Bogle made sure to show Barcia exactly how he felt about the situation. Barcia ended up on the ground, Bogle would later be disqualified, and Barcia would also be penalized a position as well from the earlier contact.

"Bogle stalled his bike in the main line then got it going and Barcia was coming by clip Barcia front wheel took him down". I thought this was the first incident and then what we saw on tv was the second. I think the stall comment was refering to Ricky's comment during the race. I stand corrected. I understand Barcia's reputation and certainly a lot of this is on him BUT why do these guys still go wide with him (or anyone else) behind them? We were all taught to protect the inside, yet all of these guys get pissed when they leave the door open and some takes it. During the post race interviews, many of them mentioned how difficult it was due to the number of 90 degree turns. It seemed that this track made for agressive racing which only highlights the previous issue that i stated, if you don't protect the inside line someone is going to take it. You can't get mad if you go wide and someone comes in and slams the door. The top 8 are far to close in times and i think we'll see more of this going forward.
Yeah I was going off rc comments at time also now know Bogle didn’t stall he was looking to hit Barcia . What was with him on ground he looked hurt big time at one point bike in middle of track and was off on side of track like looked like he was out of the race at that time ?

Remember when Barcia waited until he was a lap down at Bercy to get Aranda back? Can't believe that was over a decade ago.

He almost got his ass kicked by the French fans too so he high tailed it out of Bercy and he would have deserved the beatdown. Wink

Then literally ran and hid afterwards. I think that was the one where fans were even trying to get at him lol

Boggle DQed is complete BullS—t! AMA is flexing its muscles since Bogle is an easy target. They sure didn’t do anything on this one - https://youtu.be/Jaw2GM7IqmM

Tek14 stated,” Bogle should be not allowed to race next week after this bonehead move”

I’d be fine with that, BUT if Justin Barcia releases the video footage without the incident with Juston Bogle, that would be hiding evidence, thus out for the next race as well. I think Feld Entertainment owns the footage, so Barcia should be required to provide it.
The AMA, Feld and MX Sports have always treated points contenders and factory guys differently, different rules, different punishments.

Right, like how many times does barcia get away with it? Its literally every few weeks a big take out.

It's the only way Barcia will learn is if people give it back

Bogle could have had a much harsher penalty -YET- he didn't get one. You see, it was RETALIATORY...plain and simple. Retaliation don't play at the AMA.

Barcia's move can and to some extent -did- get some consideration as "a racing incident"; but, he still got penalized...though MANY are gonna say "not enough". Still, he DID get a penalty and it is in the books.

If you go strictly by the rules, they could have sent Bogle home for a few weeks...or more. Just so ya know, ya gotta be VERY CAREFUL about the perception of HOW, WHEN & WHY...to quote you...

"give it back"

All the while, I completely get where you and Justin Bogle & his team ...and more than a few others...can see it differently.

So are implying that Barcia didn't mean to hit Bogle?

This isn’t Nam. There are rules.
There's laws too. Bogle knocking Barcia out after the race would be assault. You just pick and choose what to follow based on what argument you want to make?

We need video of the original incident regardless. If it was a racing incident like many others in the first three races, why was Barcia penalized at all? Nobody can answer that without footage. Bogle waiting and then jumping out of the bushes a lap down is a cheap shot and minimum DQ, and IMO shouldn't be able to race next week either.

Albeit a heat race.

But it's no surprise that barcia is settling into his usual position in the pack.
Even before his run in with Bogle.
It was one race. Some of you guys are insufferable with how quickly you write riders off.
Guy, this forum will shit all over a top 5 rider without a second thought.

I don’t get it either 😂

Don't they all have go-pro's on? I recall a few years back you used to be able to watch the go pro footage from a bunch of different riders...

All I can keep thinking of is Barcia's podium interview at A1 (I think it was) where he was proud of himself for riding like a veteran. Is this considered a veteran ride to? Kinda funny when he said and more so now.

Anybody else remember when Barcia was talking about how his season (probably 2016 or 2017) was going to be his best yet because he finally had an eye exam and found out he was near sighted? He started wearing contact lenses then and thought his ability to see more than five feet in front of him would make him a champion.

It didn’t, but it serves as a great allegory for his career because he’s been incurably myopic as long as he’s raced. He gets stuck into stupid fueds indiscriminately and they inevitably cast a shadow on what could otherwise be a championship season. He’s too damn short sighted to see past the takeout opportunity and focus on the long game, the big picture, the master plan or whatever you want to call it.

Chad punted Trey Canard into a crash for payback and got black flagged right away......remember that?

This time they let it play out. . . But Bogle does not need any more concussions..

RDL did an in depth interview with Barcia and he was saying how much smarter he is these days. My son and I just started laughing. Uh huh. He looked off last night during the heat race. Timing was off. Guessing after his shit start he either rode pissed or panicked. Either way considering Brayton called out his rough riding the AMA screwed the pooch yet again. Especially since the 51 has a decade long trend of riding like a douche. Every time I think maybe he’s wised up, nope.

How many of you guys were crying when Chad was holding Dungey up while getting lapped in 2017? This was way more egregious
But Dungey's not a douche. Dungey doesn't ram people, then cry like a little bitch like Bitch Boy Barcia does when the favor gets returned. Barcia is a bully that got punched in the nose, good for Bogle.

I've not liked Barcia since he roosted the medical team years ago.

That was probably the greatest executed take-out in supercross history by Bogel.

The technique and delivery were simply incredible. I will always remember the grand display of talent Bogle showed on that maneuver. Not many riders could pull it off like that.

As for Barcia, he rides like a jerk and always has. He will never change. Deserves every hit he takes. Tyler Bowers just bought Bogle a beer.

Bogle wasn’t racing for position against Barcia when he retaliated, so I’m surprised the AMA didn’t DQ him for the next race too.
He absolutely should payback, but when he is racing Barcia on the same lap for position. Preferably when they are both near the front so it costs Barcia more.

I was surprised there weren’t more takeouts. It seemed the whoops and the flat corner after were the only places for clean passes.

How often do you see title contenders repeatedly stir up conflict? Never. There is a reason for this. If you are a legitimate title contender you have far too much to lose. You can not afford to give multiple competing riders a reason to take you down in payback. Unlike Bogle (who was an idiot himself here....), they might just wait till later in the season, when you need every point, and then they blow you off a berm and out of the championship. This is a key reason Barcia will never win a title. He just does not have the self control to take that sort of long view.

Hannah was a champion that had no reservations about putting people on the ground. Maybe that’s a modern age statement.

Not just that, it takes cover away from the AMA. When it is an obvious and warranted payback, the AMA will try to let "rider justice" be dealt out if it is deserved. But when a rider does was Bogle did, the AMA has no choice. They have no cover. There is no way they can say it was a racing incident, because there was no racing.

If however, Bogle files that one away, and one race, two race, eight races later, he sends Barcia into the seats while racing for position, the AMA will say NOTHING. They remember that Barcia was owed one. But because of the way Bogle handled it, the AMAs hands are tied. They have to penalize Bogle.
