Will Yamaha yz125 2022 with Get ECU be faster than stock Yamaha yz125 2022?

I think the 300 will sell well

I called about getting the dealership locally.
Cody Webb needs to snag one of those 300 motors with F.I. and estart (and 300cc) and drop it into his YZ
You can buy one in Canada then import it into the states.

I see this taking a bite outta Beta & Sherco sales right away, lots of people go that route just to get the KYB suspension.
Beta does have KYB on the race editions.
Yeah, that's why I think the Fantic will be direct competition right away.
It's competition for Austrian bikes as well obviously but I see it taking Beta and Sherco sales quicker.
I live in Scilly part of the year so I was aware this might happen - however, I was not informed of the specifics. Yes, the 300 two stroke will sell like hot cakes. A little disappointed that the 310 four stroke is not included -it is uniquely modified to have almost no engine braking. I think the 310 would have also like "hot cakes"!
This has been in the works for awhile I am told. I am pumped for Mark and CPD.
This will make waves in the US offroad market!!
whatchu talkin about Willis? Fantic has been here. Bought it 3/22. lol

Fantic motor USA Facebook page was created 5 days ago and this was posted yesterday:
Looks like just enduro models for now, but now Yamaha have allowed them into the US it suggests mx models to follow
Yes, it's a bit strange that they are doing the 250F in USA, instead of the 310.
You'd think the 310F, as, like the 3002T EFI, it would not 'interfere' with the Yamaha 250s ( of either type) sales. Though, for me, they would - either Fan(Yam)tic, I'd buy over the 250 versions.
Highland Cycles on YouTube brought in a 300 - they've a fare few videos on it, the most recent is on it being on a ride down in Mexico.
Too bad this 300 2T EFI engine is really not that great. Brand new with a very old school feel.
Morgan from Highland cycles in Colorado did a few YouTube videos on how he brought one in and the mods they did to it.
I'm pretty sure the 4stroke coming here isn't the YZ250F-based model. It looks like more of a trail bike, without the reverse-cyl engine and YZ frame etc. The msrp is only $6500.
Looks like the importer mentioned in the article, Gary Hazel, used to work at Sherco.
Thanks for that 'heads up'.
I had no idea Fantic had that bike.
Can't see if it's a Minarelli sourced engine , or a Chinese one. Minarelli seems more logical, being Italian, and Fantic worked with them with regards to the EFI 2t. They also supply the 50cc 2ts, and the 125 4t engines.
Looks to be quite a good thing - well above say the Honda and Kawasaki 'Trail Bike' offerings - 4130 Frame, Alloy Swingarm, removable sub frame, etc. I've no idea of the price comparisons between the H and K 300cc Trail Bikes and this Fantic, but it looks to be far more of a Dirt Oriented bike than the than either.
Have you actually ridden one?
I have. It's a weapon of a thing.
Yes, it isn't as smooth as the Pierer bikes, both in terms of vibes, and power delivery, but, in a way, it might appeal more to many 2t aficionados with it retaining a bit of the 'old school' feel. So many bitch about that 'loss'.
Chassis - yes, it's essentially from 2005, but it's a bloody good one. I've made many an AF, since '97, but the only chassis I'd change my steelie 500 frame for, would be the YZ one, I like it that much. But, I do love my PDS'd Steel frame 500, as it is.
So basically this is a YZ300X with e-start? If so, I'd buy one.
Yes, and its a reworked YZ 250 engine. Has EFI and a ECU controlled power valve.
The 300 2 stroke woods/enduro bike sounds interesting.
I have a 2016 Husky TE300 (carb and no counter balancer) and a 2021 Sherco 300 Factory (carb, counter balancer and stock KYB.
Always loved riding buddies YZ250's but hard to go back to a platform without counter balancer
In my experience, nailed it on the counter balancer. I hung on to my RM 250 for years riding and racing it in regular and sprint enduros and even a few hard enduros. I was always the guy saying that it didn't really make a difference. An older steel frame 250 2t was essentially the same as the newer stuff. In 23, I finally wanted a new bike so, I bought a 22 Gasgas EC 250. At first, I was a bit disappointed. The engine was good low but non existent on top and the suspension was super soft for even tight single track. After getting the engine sorted with the TSP kit and suspension sorted through REP, I couldn't be happier. In most situations, the two bikes are pretty comparable. If the trails are fast and flowy, it is a tossup. The new bike shines when it gets hard and traction is low. If you are on say a side hill with little to no rut, the RM would always break traction and slip the rear tire down the hill. The Gasgas just rides right across like there is a rut.
