I wish I could make someone’s face light up the way Steve’s face does when Stew comes on pulp

that was such a good segment. so good to have stew on. cant wait for more stew pods, and from the sounds of it he has some big things planned. a bubbas world episode with reed would be crazy good.

Just watched it - holy crap what a great interview. I can't tell you how happy I am to hear James come on there and not only do such a long interview but he sounds so enthusiastic. Like Kongols said he definitely sounds like he's in a great place in life. This is the Stew we've all been waiting & hoping for and according to him we'll finally be seeing/hearing from him a lot more. I cannot wait to listen to his weekly breakdowns of races and be able to do it unfiltered.

Glad I saw this topic. I don’t usually listen to Pulp.
Awesome interview and makes me look forward to seeing how the Bubbas World podcast progresses

I was glad to hear he still loves the sport and the people in it. I was sort of figuring he had a bad taste in his mouth about the industry given some of the things that happened during his career, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Can’t wait for the long form interview of his career at some point. That was a great interview, I loved how open he was about how the Sexton deal ended up fizzling out.

He was more relaxed than in his own podcast which was nice. And also upfront that his first bubba world podcast was a little rough. Which is entirely reasonable for your first go. Love the frankness and authenticity. Also glad he seems more comfortable in his own skin - good for the fans but ultimately good for him.

Just listened to it and agree with this 100% , he seemed more at ease than any interview I have heard with him and in a good place mentally , hopefully we here more from him

He’s pretty funny. When he yelled out at Steve for suggesting that Malcom wear fly gear…..I lol’d.

Wish they didn't spend the whole time kissing his ass. Steve is usually great at getting people to open up and tell amazing stories. This was a missed opportunity. All we ended up with was Steve telling James how great he was and Stew saying thank you and I appreciate that.

Bone head move for sure but James had plenty of time to react. With the number of unforced errors he had (quadding at Dodger Stadium just one of many) it is a stretch to blame the photographer.

If stew starts talking about the races he better make sure he goes to every one in person otherwise Steve won’t be happy 🙄

For you guys who care, it did happen. My friend and I were young teenagers and it made our year. To me it was a genuine experience with Malcolm and the legend himself. Not many people on here can say they had a laugh (may it be a dumb) with him.

I know man, I'm sure it was great. It's just bizarre what stars like James remember. Your story and ones like where he supposedly ripped all his tear-off's off before the start of a 125 moto. You can genuinely tell he doesn't remember and just responds with a "uuh I'm sure it happened but I can't remember it"
