Sorry if this had already been said… but the most disappointing part of all this drama is the fact that a video was put together that included a dude who has nothing to do with ithe situation except the fact he had a different skin color, Malcom Stewart. Mirtl did not have to include that picture of Malcolm in it. That was a total BS move. It is what it is with Jett and Mirtle…fight it out in court and take each others money- I don’t care. But to include a picture of another rider because of his skin color...

This whole You hate Deegan because his dad is famous has to stop. It’s the most ridiculous take. Fans don’t like him because he acts like a douche when he wins and acts like a douche when he loses. If he showed some respect to his competitors and the fans of the sport he would have twice as many fans. The pass wasn’t bad but I’m starting to wonder if he has the racecraft to actually set up a pass. Anyone can do the Barcia pass.

All the guys who consoled Cole earned a new level of respect from me. The kid has many championships in his future, I think everyone sees that. I think little Deegs sees it too.

Davies is easy to like and try as I might, Deegan isn't. Part of me roots for him because he is a little different and I love watching him rise, but damn boy STFU with the stupid interviews.

This is a very poor take. He had a shot as long as he wasn’t mathematically eliminated. That’s an attitude that we need to see more often, not less. It’s refreshing to see a young guy wanting to fight til the end like this, instead of rolling over just because the odds may be stacked against them winning the title.

Pretty clear statement from the other riders what they think of the situation and family antics.

Yes. He shows his tics in every interview, its obvious he has anxiety and is nervous. You can also see them get worse when he is clearly stressed. Example after the crowds reaction and his speech he tried to stick his tongue out but didn't do it. His nervous laugh after being asked somewhat controversial questions. His standard yeah definitely during every interview.

I’m not biased enough to think that the move was dirty in any way. It was actually really good aggressive racing and that’s what I’ve come to expect from Haiden. What’s unfortunate is his attitude and demeanor after the race. What he chose to focus on and what he chose to say, says everything about his character and world view. He has a manufactured chip on his shoulder and it’s just really unbecoming. Of all the things he could’ve said in the moment he chose to be a douche.

IMO the reaction to Deegan's move is less about the pass itself and more about a failure to "read the room." You can't take what people say at face value. When Sexton, Coop, Stewart, McGrath, whoever roughs someone up at the bitter end (not saying they all did, just naming example riders), it might cause a stir, but because fans still love them, it's viewed as "he did what he had to do". The fans know the baseline of their character and can rationalize it. The riders are likable in their own ways, and someone who is likable gets away...

My biggest issue with his podium interview is him not remotely acknowledging the two men who congratulated him and handed him the plate and trophy. When someone gives you something, earned or not, you look them in the eye and say "Thank you". Guy's just a giant tool.
