Does anyone know how far back he was at the finish of each moto from first? I’m really curious...he had to have been at least a minute down from Kenny both motos.

That has to hurt a guy like Webb

Webb, isn’t even part of the conversation. Roczen, Ferrandis, Cianciarulo and Plessinger are going to give us a great series this year. Just enjoy it and shut up about Webb already.

Does “shut up about Webb” not clearly imply “stop starting threads about Webb” to you? You can’t possible be this dense.

Take it easy Roid rage. You shouldn’t post when you’re off cycle.

Seems like the nut-huggers can’t face the facts that he is performing in a similar fashion to all his past 450 MX seasons. Dude just isn’t a contender outdoors.

Like you said he's performing like he usually does on a 450 outdoors. Do I think he going to be like this every race? No, he could podium even win an overall if the circumstances are right. But he's not even close to the top guys right now

To be at yer peak mentally for 2 back to back series is a tall fucking order. And Kenny tried his ass off in both series because he's a winner, the others racing the Nats... not so much.

Ah yes because riders are always 100% transparent about week day crashes and injuries

The white version of the KTM is running the #1 plate this year, it isn't the bike.

Or he looks exactly as he always has outdoors because this is simply who he is. Hard for the Coop fanboys to admit their boy is a one trick pony

I heard them say Webb is good at running alternate pace race craft. In other words running slow and then running fast. A ploy which would work well on SX track but not on a MX track. It is easier on SX to keep riders behind you run slower pace then speed up etc. He often goes backwards from the start and then charges back for the win. Like 800M athletes do pace themselves let the other run ahead then since you saved your energy charge ahead and win and the leaders cannot respond since they have spent their energy. That is the theory. This works for athletes on a track will not work as well with a marathon. Marathon is like MX or GNCC. He is pacing himself and then saving energy then attacking. Not the fastest rider on track. Training mental edge and strategy. KR often showed more speed than CW in SX but lost on race craft in the end.

Some MX riders where know for this - EL CHUPACABRA is a good example

Delusional? 40+ seconds back and he felt he had the speed to run up front.

Webb:

“We’re kind of searching again – we made a lot of bike changes today and I actually felt a lot better in the second moto. I felt like we made the bike a lot better and I was feeling like I finally had some speed and could run up front and then I had a little tip over. That spiked my heartrate and I got all flustered and got passed for ninth but I got back into a good flow and was able to catch Marvin with two to go. It’s a little bit of progress. We have a weekend off, so we’ll try to get the bike a little better, get faster and keep on grinding.”

If he was feeling better in the 2nd moto it didn’t show in his results however I do expect him to improve in spite of all the heat he’s getting for his rides so far.

I’m a fan, I was in CO to do some MTB so i went to the race and keyed on his ride and it was lackluster.
