Electric Mugen bike at JMX national

Seen this on Instagram.. I noticed it has t-Rex on the bar pad as a reference to that other weird looking t-red mugen bike? This is the first time I’ve seen this bike and it looks pretty cool..

Won’t be long before Honda drops the combustion engine and pushes electric bikes like they did when dropping the 2-stroke 😟

I’m way behind on anything dirt bike related unless it’s 2020 onward.. this is probably not a new bike but I think it looks cool makes me wonder what works of art mugen and Honda have hidden away.

I think the radiators are for cooling the battery. Not sure if or what else they cool though.

Yep, used to also be into RC car. Everything was about heat management. We all know electronic doesn't like heat.

Even computer are watercooled, so radiator and coolant shouldn't be weird on a eMX bike.

Even computer are watercooled, so radiator and coolant shouldn't be weird on a eMX bike.
I’ve got buddies with water cooled desktop PC’s so it makes sense to me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Seems a lttle strange to see this bike so openly on display like that.
I wonder how far away production, full size, dedicated electric mx bikes are? Some time in 2022 or 23?
I have 10 bikes counting 3 non operational build projects, Im never gonna bag out the e bikes, at lea8st not til ive owned one for a while.
Just going off what I've read here from Alta owners, there seems to be much to look foward to.
But what I am most looking foward to, is being able to ride down in the back paddock on the property where I live. Ive already figured out 2 separate and super fun natural terrain tracks, one has an amazing natural and quite big step up double..
Im positively salivating at the prospect of riding these tracks on something other than my mountain bike.
But I am a tennant here, there are houses well within earshot, probably within a radius of 600 metres. My land lord is a great bloke, he likes dirt bikes..he said I can ride herewhen I have an electric bike,after I showed him that recent video of that yz 250f based e bike that has popped up in Europe...he loved it..so did I ! I can have my tracks and rude all I want when I have an electric bike..
So far KTM have not chosen to import their free ride e bike to Australia and apparently they are insanley expensive..
Im just sweating on a manufacturer to just do it and pull the trigger, I will be first in around here!
Being able to just ride on my own private tracks whenever I get the chance and without annoying anyone else will be life changing for me...
On weekends I would still go to the track and ride my ice bikes though..

No..... too much Amp draw translates to motor and esc getting too hot... reduce timing, cell count, or gearing to cure....

Unfortunately, an electric bike would benefit me tremendously. I would be able to ride on my 5 acres without pissing off the neighbors. All the rich peoples houses face my property like an amphitheater so the sound becomes an issue, and they won't like the sweet sultry sound of a 250F for some reason..

That's like saying "if your ICE bike gets too hot, just slow way down and take it easy for a lap or two". The large amp draw comes from a package that is aimed at performance.

Looks like all they did was change the plastics of the last E-Rex that everyone barfed at? Way to go Honda. Yet another reminder of how far ahead of the times Alta Motors was and how much better Alta Redshifts are STILL compared to any other electric dirtbike available. Not even close.
