Doesn’t he have a issue with being able to breath correctly at altitude? Maybe he had an issue and just figured it was not worth it and pulled off.

If he suffers from elevation issues how bad did it affect him in amateurs growing up? He grew up in Edgewood New Mexico with an approx elevation of 6,700 ft. It’s right near ABQ which has an approx elevation of 5,300 ft. The area he grew up in has a higher elevation than Salt Lake City at approx elevation of 4,300 ft. Not saying elevation doesn’t affect him just weird that he can grow up in a higher elevation area and his body never being able to adapt after years of being in that kind of environment. Strange.

I was at the race.. JA21 and BamBam51 had good 3 laps of banging bars and switching positions. Then JA21 kind let BamBam by and just pulled off the track, rode the entire outside of the track to get back to the truck in the pits. That was it. All we saw and nothing mention in the live race feed during the race.

During his interview after winning the heat, he was totally out of breath. I knew there was no way he could compete in the main. Just don't understand how you can be out of shape so quickly!

4000 ft is not altitude.

He has an actual medical condition with his lungs. At elevation it creeps up and fluid can enter his lungs. I wouldnt bag on him too hard.

Bugger! I was hoping he’d get a main event win for the season. Well, here’s hoping Anderson has a ripper outdoor season!

There was a great battle going with barcia but we don’t get to see it because Sexton was riding around by himself and that was more important 🤦‍♂️
While there have been some questionel decitions on what to show on TV throughout the season, this was not one of them as they actually switched over to Sexton overtaking Roczen for the lead, and not sexton riding alone!

It sounds like the team has now explained what happened to Anderson in great detail:

"Another rider came together with him on lap seven, dropping him back to 10th and from there he ran into an issue that would hinder the rest of his race."

So now we know what happened: he ran into an issue that hindered him. Case closed.

10-4. Let's move on.. some teams are just not going to be completely transparent, but they did provide a response which is more then most do. Outdoor's here we come!

The jump from him and Barcia on TV to Sexton, the announcers not talking about it, and shortly there after he is listed as being out all lead me to believe that he got black flagged and the AMA didn't want that to be known. Aggressive riding for sure, but nothing dirty, that I saw. Not like he Marchbanked him.
"Marchbanked." That's my new favorite word.

Just give me the video, then I can see the "issue" and decide for myself how it "hindered" him.

There has to be video, no?

But if it was an issue that hindered him, I can accept that

I like Jason, I think he is good for the sport. But it seems maybe he got too much BamBam GASGAS Gas...

A friend said he left early to get to Paul’s championship party. He wanted to beat the traffic

Had to get Coop his Team Fried championship hat lol

But yeah, I was hoping to see an Anderson/Barcia battle. They both have an all-out riding style and are gritty

Just listened to PulpMX SLC2 review pod and Matthes and Weege mentioned that they thought the JA21 deal to Star was done. Anyone else hear the rumors ?

Grew up here myself, watched him on minis. Recently moved back here after 2 years in Texas. Elevation sickness is real. Dizzy, couldn’t breath, elevated resting heart rate etc;.

It’s not where he grew up, it’s what his body has become acclimated to now.
