E-Street MX was INSANE after the flood this year. All of the river sand washed onto the track and it was a challenge just to make it one lap around.

All the obvious ones are mentioned, Lommel, Lierop and Dunkerque being the worst as I like hard pack more Laughing but I bet there are a bunch of "secret" or smaller tracks all around. Many Finns head out to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the spring, those places are littered with bottomless sand pits.

Weston is just bottomless, it's insane it sucks bikes in and the harder you try and get out, the further in you sink.... Quicksand I guess you would call it.... if you sit stationary for 30-40 seconds with your motor ticking over, the bike is up to its rims in the sand, sit for over a minute and rev it a few times and you probably can't ride away

Weston is just slop, not sand, you dig a hole 4' deep and its 4' deep with water , if there is a rut , its black snot a foot deep in the bottom.

The water table is an inch below the sand in places, apart from where they pile it up , when they ran a round of the Red Bull there, one of the top french beach guys (i think it was Adrian Van Beveren) came over , looked at the track and asked 'where is the fucking sand'...

Skegness beach is bottom less , the water table is about 12 feet below the top surface , and no matter how deep you dig, there isnt water, its like powder dry sand and its truly bottomless,so much so that you cant get on it inless you have a a tracked vehicle, or a quad, because everything else just sinks .
i have been up there 5 years and everyone who does it says how much tougher it is than weston to ride, because you cant just plod round, you have to go for it constantly else the front just buries and you crash.

Dont get me wrong, Weston is brutal, but its the water that makes it brutal , not the sand IMO.. and yes i've ridden it,

If you leave GP weekends out of it, I have to agree with the pic of Lewis Gregory at Loon. That track is the most rediculous thing you've ever seen.

It's one of the only places for Belgian/Dutch/French riders where you can ride year round. As a consequence, when the track opens at 8AM on a december sunday, there will be 100 riders ready to go in freezing temps. Most of them will be gone by 11AM. By then the track is unrecognizable and only the pros, fastest amateurs and the mentally challenged will still be riding.
We have the same thing here, but for hardpack haha.

Everyone trying to ride early while there is some moisture in the dirt and then by the afternoon its dust on blue groove and no fun.

Yeah, I heard grantsburgh Wi. Is deep sand and rough. Wheeler Wi. Same deep sand, they had a race 4-17, 18. Dryracuse Wi. Is 4-25. Very deep sand with hills threw the woods. They have a hill climb competion. Ski flying jump. Trails threw the woods. And a easy sx track. I got a 2nd in open class on a 125 there. Cheap riding 10 or 20 bucks, wheeler is cheap too.

Used to go there in the summer and there would be about 10 people there. Bloke was a bit of a nutter he used to give you the gate code and then turn up 2 hours later, take your money and go home and tell you to lock up when you were done 😂

Lommel def one of the roughest but also borring track to watch as a spectator. Lierop belongs in that category of rough , Pichon almost couldn't even stay up for one full lap. Lierop is such an amazing track! Back in the forrest you have to jump from one hole into the other one just to go forwards. Lierop needs the come back!!!! :-) Like Nismes and Namur, Belgium. Problem of the best nostalgique tracks don't have space for all the factory semi's...

Diamondback and Crooms (the MX track) were the knarly sand tracks during my younger days. Desoto, FL had a track in one of the FL Gold cup series and it was pretty bad, I only remember racing there one time. Orlando MX is sand and was bad at times but nothing compared to the others.

I am not sure but just from talking to 1970's racers, I think St. Petersburg, FL had a decent sand track that the pro guys raced for the TransAM series back then.

Also, the Mini O's started in South Jacksonville/ North St. Augustine, FL in a area called Palm Valley, it was sand but I am not sure how bad it would be because it was moved to the quarry pit in Newberry, FL when I started going.

Loon Plage in France is definitely one of the gnarliest sandtracks in the world. All the beach racers go there to train, I've spent a couple of times to practice during the winter in the past couple of years. That track eats you up and spits you out. Deeper than Lommel. Grevenbroich in Germany is nasty too.
