Yes they are worth it. This Moto 10 had one ride and one crash on it. I’m completely positive if I had something lesser on I’d be dead or a vegetable. I was out cold for over 5 mins and after I woke up I didn’t even have a headache. I don’t remember what happened or much of working the following week but I’m alive.

What I've heard from the grapevine: -KTM wants the all the bikes at the same spot (Aldon's shop) which is easier for parts & shipping. There's a LOT of shipping involved with the team based in California and riders in Florida, suspensions/engines/OEM & aftermarket parts... Way more convenient to have all the bikes & practice mechanics all in one place... -Factory guys based in Florida but not in Aldon's program (Sexton/Vialle) can ride at the Baker's Factory (I would assume there are rules in place where riders in different programs don't ride the same day or on the same track)...

Agreed. I’ve riden all the Austrian bikes, 2 stroke and 4 stroke in the last few years. Riden with every combination of suspension from A kit cone valves and Traxx, Ohlins, KYB, MX Tech, etc…. I was last racing a 450 KTM, both a SXF in vet/senior moto and a XCF off-road, I then switched to a new Yamaha 250f. Immediately with stock suspension I was able to hang with my group on the MX track who were still on 450’s. Same thing off-road. The biggest difference is I don’t get tired near as soon now. For reference, I’m 230...

ML - they aren’t Brembo calipers on the Star bikes, they’re OEM Nissin units modified by Steve Dixon (DRT). Similar logo and many make the same mistake, but he’s been using these on his Race bikes for years now.

After seeing a real SX shock stack compared to a regular guy MX stack, I’m shocked more stuff doesn’t “fail”. Remember McElrath’s shock splitting wide open last year from the pressure created by that type of stack. Who knows what’s going on inside of Eli’s shock, but I’m shocked more don’t fail.

One of three things happened to Eli. He was injured, sick, or had bike problems. I can't believe that's not obvious to people speculating he just "wasn't feeling it". He was riding around letting people go by as if he was on a parade lap. Something was clearly wrong.

Just a random thought, but old-school Pit Bits used to have photos of practice and qualifying which dug deeper into what gear riders were wearing etc. I always thought those were really cool and I would love to see stuff like that again.

I have a well set up 2020 KX450. PC link, PC pipe, correct gearing, suspension revalves. The 24 is so good! Front brake is a huge bonus. Does not feel fast but it is deceiving fast on a track. Drives forward very quickly. Take lap times on the faster YZ and CR on a rough track, you will be quicker on the KX on any track JMO

well the new "slow" 2024 KX450 just pulled the holeshot in vet 35 + at mini o's....kind of interesting that such a slow machine could pull a holeshot.

As bad as the guy stunk it up, remember he showed up for his county when a lots of others took a pass.
