Dude loves to ride, I think it’s awesome he will race ATL
..and is a hell of a nice guy who will shoot the shit with any squid at the track, always has a good attitude, came back from massive injury to keep racing, and is a great ambassador for the sport. But, only having been the 5th-10th greatest supercrosser on the face of the planet for several years isn't good enough to impress JT Moto, so whatever.

Look, I’m glad for Josh, that he has enough money that he can ride dirt bikes for fun. If I was him I would do the same thing. And yes he is good, like I said, he’s better than us on here.

I’m not a pessimist when it comes to Josh Hill, I truly hope he qualifies. I’m probably more jealous that he gets to ride dirt bikes whenever he wants.

Yeah, there has been unfreakingbelievable hype regarding Josh & his brother since they hit the pros...and just as much crap has been thrown at them for not living (or riding) up to their "potential" or rewarding the teams that threw money at them.

I won't pick sides...but just like the OP said, more riders on the line at Atlanta or any event, the better. I hope Josh does his sponsors proud, rides well, and leaves healthy.

Pretty surprised at the hate for Josh. The guy was absolutely a legit factory rider until an injury knocked him off that level. He's still an incredibly talented rider and shows the world how fun it is to ride a dirtbike. Why would anybody hate on him? Especially in a moto forum?

He went and met with each of them in person and was very thankful for the help. Josh flew up himself and drove the rig back to So Cal. Come race day, Josh filled the rig with food for all those that were helping him. He made every person feel at home. The rig owner came to the race as well. The owner had a few food favorites and Josh went out of his way to bring them. He made the main that night and got a job with Rock River. He spent the next few days washing and detailing that rig he borrowed. Instead of the typical "Hey I left the rig in some parking lot" Josh drove the rig back to the owner in mint detailed condition and topped it off with fuel. 10 times better than he received it. I'm also pretty sure Josh gave Larry his blue hammer as thanks for the Brooks family help. Josh is one of the great ones in the sport. I hope he does well!

That was his RCH tryout. He bought a bike to prep for it on after RC told him the carpenter/hammer thing

The story I was talking about was from 2013, and he bought a Suzuki to try out for RCH. They were riding Suzuki’s so he bought a stock one to practice on so he would be comfortable for the try out on the RCH bike. Think it was between him and Chiz for the spot.

I guess bought a Yamaha for your story and ripped off RC’s quote, sorry for the mixup.

Edit* I guess him getting the RCH job taught him a valuable lesson about buying a bike and being ready. A lot of pros don’t do that.

Really only a couple guys whining about Josh... Lots more defending him and happy to see him line up. I think he makes the main, but it could be through the LCQ. I hope he brings it!!
