Create a new Obstacle

Design the jumps that force you to use the inside/outside with consequential reduction or advances on the track via steepness / speed. Why does sx have to be so precise? Increase the pocket time. No need for constant flow.

Just build an entire track out of sand...

Or, more realistically, make the start straight all sand...from the gate to the 2nd corner. Race down that section each lap...

Can't believe nobody mentioned lava in between whoops. Anyways, I love the hip jump they had at A2 last year, as well as the on off before it with 2 line options.

A3 2001 had a ski/single jump into MOGULS.... Which led to a peaky hip jump/step up that they ended up tripling all the way over to a landing further out. Really cool section.

I think Daytona had an off camber last year where Roczen was passed by Tomac.

Make one length of track more endurocross-like. Not necessarily the huge boulders, but remember that deep sand and three wall joker lane at Vegas a couple years ago? Why not something like that every lap?

Need things that cause unforced errors that won't result in injuries. That's so that you just can't dance through each lap.

Before anyone poo-poo's it as "not supercross," go back and look at early races with mud pits and more.

I loved that 3 wall joker lane. I’m a fan of 3 steep walls on a deep sand whooped out straight.

Split lanes around the entire track minus start straight and finish jump lane,basically 2 half tracks with 2 common lanes.

Something, whatever it is, with multiple lines and that demands finesse. The idea being something that is tricky, that is easy to make a mistake on, WITHOUT heavy physical consequences. Something off camber, or a slidey flat track turn, etc.

There was an obstacle very similar to what you were describing about 4 to 6 years ago. I don't remember what track it was at but you came in under the bridge went into a left hand turn that was 270°. The turn was all sand and some riders were going inside and some riders were going outside. Lots of passes happened through that turn. it wasn't a constantly slow elevating 270° turn though it was the standard over-under type rise and it didn't have the extra bump past it that you're describing.

Jumps that have more pop UP to them, making riders use better techniques to soak them up, also slow the track down to allow more bar banging.
