I'm old, I'm slow, I'm out of shape but my entry fee is just as important as the fast young guys.

I know as long as you never scored 1 point you can race this class.
But damn those 30plus dudes are fast.
I do not know what a good solution would be for a "normal" vet guy and making it to loretta's is but the 30plus is not it. LOL.
Matty - why haven't you came out and raced with us more?
WORCS and Big 6 / NGPC races are pretty fun...pretty simple class structure as well...
Racing REM sat and doing trials on sunday in Lucerne Valley!
Sportsman means you can ride it even if you've raced pro outdoor motocross and got 21st. Means you coulda raced supercross and finished 10th in a heat or 5th in an lcq. I just made it a goal in the years I've tried to beat some of the ex card holding pros who qualified for national mains. I was happy to accomplish that, even tho I can't seem to make it to the ranch. "Sportsman" is very flawed in any age group.
I mean, paul peribinos or however you spell it.. not to take away, because I hear he's a great dude, but the average joe working 50 hours a week outside the moto industry barely stands a chance at the ranch let alone producing a decent result. Paul whoops up on these fast up n coming kids like the seasoned vet that he is, and it's very impressive. Look forward to lining up with him but I know full well he'll smoke me lol..
Pit Row
At national level
Vet Pro 25+ - held a pro card.
25, 30, 40, 50 - never held a pro card. Takes
This would definitely give the real amateur a better opportunity to race an AMATEUR national.

Did you race on the one Brian had at his shop? That bike looked really good! I could imagine that would be scary though!
Where ya at DC? The great restructure of 2022! I'll even find you a neon sign to announce it! Lol
Over the last 2 years we've seen an increase in our 30 age group participation from beginners to our 30 master class.
In fact the demographics based on Sierra membership is that the 30somethings now make up our largest age group! The 52 and 58's are the 2nd and 3rd largest racing groups followed by the 45's.
The positive feed back is how we place riders in a class based on observations motos then either advance skill levels or drop down in skill level. Obviously rider safety is very important by have the rider placed in an appropriate class to race in.
The "sandbagging" is what we strive to eliminate. Race directors having the ability to advance riders when needed to keep the classes more evenly matched.
I don’t see that same breakout on a normal race day, just the 25 / 30 / 40 / 50 breakouts, but reach track may be different.
Post a reply to: 30+ ab, 30+ cd, 35+, 40+ab and 40+cd is stupid
