A few pros when I raced Pro in the 80's in Tans-Cal and Golden State races. Lots of name when racing in local SoCal race like Vet Worlds and 2 Stroke nationals. But one of my favorite photos is this one from a Transworld race at GH. There is Doug Dubach, Travis Preston, Mike Sleeter and MC. I ended up getting beat to the first turn on my stock RM250 smoker but still makes for a pretty good photo. And no, I did not beat any of them in the race either haha

I’ve watched Twitch grow up, literally. He was a little kid who came to Barona Oaks, Palm Ave and everywhere in between. I’m sure 99% of us would be just as quick on a 10-15 year old bike. However If we’re all honest with ourselves for most of us half the fun of Mx is the new bikes and new gear and new aftermarket parts and we all want the newest best we can afford because were all posers deep down inside.

The funny thing about Suzuki is.... their bikes are plenty good enough for the majority of riders out there. There are very few that can ride any of these bikes to their full potential. But if buying a KTM, Honda or whatever makes you feel better about yourself... good for you. It's your money, spend it as you see fit...don't knock others for their choice. (BTW - I've always been a YZ guy....but if I were in the market for an MX bike....I'd find myself in a Zook dealership.) It never ceases to amaze me how supposed "fans" of this...
