Put a fork in KROC

Great interview for Ken. If he gets his mental game together and stops being a whiny bitch with a multitude of bogus excuses he might have a ton more fans, myself included.

Wasn't expecting that upbeat attitude. Hopefully it puts him in the right frame of mind for Tuesday. All smack talk aside, Kenny didn't have a chance of a good start tonight with that rut and he did make up some positions.

Pulling for Kenny big time, absolutely love his positive attitude.
But... Tonight was huge, and he faltered big time imo. . Webb kicked it.
Ken isn’t so strong in the long run (mental or physical) , and if I were a betting man, he’s a 2nd place guy at best in the series. Not bad by no means, but that doesn’t win SX Titles.
I would LOVE to be wrong, but Ken is loosing the fire round by round.

Kroc did not crack

He could have thrown all caution to the win and tried to run Cooper down but the risk of ending up on the dirt and outside the top five were too high.

This race came down to the start and Cooper nailed it. Seeing the rut Ken started behind shows more of the story, imo.

True, I forgot to include Sexton when I was thinking of the results typing the sentence.

It doesn't change my point. Which is that it was a slick track with similar lap times (all the qualifying times they showed on the broadcast were in the 44 second range I believe). You could only go so fast on the track and he might have finished outside the top ten if he went down. Instead of having the mindset, "I have to catch Cooper," I thought he rode a pretty mature race. But that's just, like... my opinion... man.

Would be interesting to see what Kenny's avg pts per round are in the first vs last half of each season...

I'd take it. But if you had to bet your house would it be Kenny or Cooper?

I wish someone would put a fork in all these wanker comments that bag out anyone who doesn’t win. Some still even find a way then.
Me; I love moto and have the highest respect for ALL of these guy’s abilities and I prefer racing news to the TMZ bullshit you bitches delight in.

Predictably Ken will dye his hair or get a Mohawk next week to show everyone how tough he is.

Kenny sucked all day today, that is for sure. Even in the whoops he was scketchy and slow.

The deeper into the season we go it's become clear Eli gives zero fucks for whatever reason. Proof of that is the Daytona race. History was on the line by tying RC's record so we seen a completely different Eli. Had he gotten a shit start at Daytona, the dude was still winning that race, period, and I guarantee he wins it next year too. Not sure why that fire isn't there at these other rounds. He's a tough one to really be a big fan of because if he doesn't give a shit the majority of the season than neither do I.
Your right.. there was a point in that race where 4 riders were right in front of him and he couldn’t make up time on them..
He also couldn’t pass Mookie in the heat which flustered him, letting Webb by which ultimately led to his gate pick being piss poor.
These tracks aren’t doing him any favours either. Start cross FFS! Make a decent whoop section and a track at 55 seconds and you’ll see ET come to life.

Well, he is down 7 points to Webb now, so, ya know, that’s like 2 full races or something right? I suppose he may as well just go start testing for outdoors. Blink

But wasn't he up by 20 some points just a few races ago? He's not trending in the right direction while Webb is taking over.

Why do we need to interview Kenny after every race too no matter what place he gets? Maybe since he has lost the points lead that will quit seems silly to interview 123 and then 6 or whatever.

I'd love to see Kenny win this thing but theres a couple of reoccurring themes stacked against his favour...

1. We've seen this in the past with Kenny, points lead at start of season, he comes in hot only to lose it mid to late season
2. Cooper just generally seems to have his number mentally for whatever reason. Who else passes Kenny at will on the last lap of a moto, repeatedly?

When the pressure is really on from Cooper, Kenny hasn't shown us much to prove he's the stronger guy. I prefer Kenny, so hoping he can find the gusto to pull this off.

In fact, can anyone point me to battles where Kenny & Cooper have been going at it back and forth, and Kenny comes out on top? He wins if its a sprint, in a dog fight Cooper always seems to find a way.

Why do we need to whine about every single thing?
He's one of two guys in this title fight and just lost the red plate after his first non-top5 this season ffs. I bet he'd rather not be interviewed after a 6th place himself

Undoubtedly he got some advice from his team or a PR agency. I got down on Ken after last year’s excuses - you just have to own it no matter what. I picked the wrong tire. I should have cut inside. I’m not feeling it. Like that. Then if the truth is different, privately deal with it.

I really was happy to see the change last night and shall cheer for him once again.

Ken is my sentimental favorite, I like a good comeback story. It would rank up there with Doug Henry's comeback. Cooper has the momentum and the mental edge right now and I like Coop as a racer. Coops comeback from last years Arlington crash is a good one too.
There is still time for Ken to make a battle out of it.

Yeah, even RC couldn't figure out why KROC was stuck in neutral most of the race, I think physically he does not have the strength of Webb, Barcia, etc. as the season drags on,..

This is what makes for a great season of racing. I'd rather have it a single digit battle than Tomac running away with 30 points.

I would think a move like that would be heavily frowned upon by Roger.
