Looks like ESR Tony’s long lost twin brother’s posts got deleted. He showed up touting how great Derek Harris is and if you haven’t done business with them(Harris,Varner,Eric Gorr) then you have no place commenting in this thread. I have no input on this subject but considering the history of the Harris thread here he definitely came in guns a blazing looking for a rumble. Im only a spectator here but was entertaining while it lasted.

I sent my boy's KX85 motor to Max Power RPM (https://maxrpms.net/) in mid-December (of 2020!) for a full rebuild to their 105 stroker. I got it back Friday, a week early. We installed it over the weekend and it fired 3rd kick. Just heat cycled it so far so can't say how it really runs but it sounds crisp. Tim called me several times during the build, and was responsive and professional. So there are good shops out there.

Not that long ago I would have sent my stuff to Varner in a heart beat. Not now after all this.

Sent my YZ 250 Cylinder off to Tom Morgan, got it back in less than 3 weeks. Awesome communication and prices. There are still good guys out there.

I highly doubt that varner or harris do bad work....treat people bad....sure.......but as i've gotten and dumped more money into this as most of us have.....deal with your local engine builder that is respected.....these guys are just as good and you build a relationship
Harris is a clown, and while some of his work may (???) be decent, his customer service is pathetic, his attitude is worse, and the "95% complete" cylinder I have sitting on the shelf as a paper weight that "I could copy as a blue print of his work and ruin him" just has the ever living hell raised out of the exhaust port. His arrogance shines in that he says he's the best and a master, yet cant remove a fastener he stripped, that we removed in 3 seconds flat.

Tom morgan patched me up perfect, beyond professional, and even tried to salvage what he could of parts harris assaulted.

I'm super surprised that only 1 person has filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on this guy. I'm not a huge fan of BBB because I don't think you should have to pay them anything as a business owner in order to get equal treatment but everyone needs to get on there and tell their story. If he has an F rating he may start giving a shit once he is losing business. BBB is the 3rd or 4th search results on Google and this thread is buried at the bottom.
Also I just read an old thread on Vital from 2011 saying Terry got arrested for supposedly letting an 11 year old drive a truck on the freeway. The mxa article has been taken down surprise surprise but just wondering if that has been discussed here yet. If true theres something seriously off with this guy. Anyways ppl make your complaints with BBB then take him to small claims court. It's really not hard to do. In my state it's a one page form and someone already posted the details here on this thread how to do it in his state. I just wonder if you file in your home state if the guy will be required to fly there to appear or get a judgment. Or is this guy just screwing over ppl in other Countries?

So the nightmare has ended. My motor arrived Friday Twenty seven months of perseverance paid off. Calling the police, Better Business Bureau, Bureau of Automotive repair. endless phone calls. All the excuses. . Have to get the roller out of storage. Plus with our weather it will be awhile before it gets fired up. Just glad it's back. Of course I want to see how it runs.

Big thanks to Pasha Panterra and Al at the BAR for all their help.

There was some help on here. Thanks to those that tried. Most of it was just drivel. 27 pages!
As for the Brocal moto community and all the industry people I contacted for help. (That couldn't be bothered to even answer an email.) No respect. That goes for some national magazines too.

Now I hope the others get their,s back soon.

There’s a person who had waited over two years man. Your excuse of the reviews received were during the pandemic are invalid. Seeing how your going to bat for the guy with a new account after 28 pages of many ordeals is well, BS. The only reason I pay attention to this thread is because I almost pulled the trigger on having him do work to my CR. If I would’ve done that, a riding trip planned for two years with family I hadn’t seen for nearly ten years wouldn’t have happened. I dodged a bullet. Quality work doesn’t excuse a two year wait. There’s more to people getting “the fastest 250 I have ever ridden’’.
I scraped and saved to have my work done elsewhere.
As hard as people work for their money, he should work as hard for his customers. Anything less, deserves to be blasted on a MX forum as a warning to others not so familiar with his work ethic. Now, the first thing I think when I see Varner carved on a cylinder is, how long did you wait? Not, damn that bike has an advantage.

"As for the Brocal moto community" The 909 flat-billers is a small club, and you ain't in it I guess.

To me, your post just confirms what a douchbag the guy really is. He took your work and got it back to you (for what ever reason), while still not getting the other guys stuff out that that were way way way ahead of yours. Good for you, I guess.

See JD928 . You sent you motor well after me got your motor before me. As well as ahead of others.

I even helped Terry find parts. My bike didn't need anything that wasn't available.

Did you get a free set of knee pads? They might come in handy.

Good for you I guess. If anyone sends their parts to him for mods they have a 50/50 (or worse) chance of being a satisfied customer. If you like those odds, go for it. If not send to Tom Morgan or research some local options, chances are you will be better served
