Was Jett’s move stupid or a racing incident?

Seemed like he went in hard.

Not necessary. You could tell he was frustrated with himself after making the comment about Mosiman being too close to him in the heat race. I expected him to try to make a statement as he clearly feels like he’s better than Mosiman but that was overkill.

He definitely intended to make more contact than Forkner last week......

I suppose folks will just say that this wasn't stupid because he was fortunate enough not to go down.

Seems like he has a chip on his shoulder about Mosiman. Seemed pretty aggressive.

that was uncalled-for. I hope Mosiman will retaliate.

That was a bit too aggressive. If Mosiman wasn’t there, Lawrence isn’t making that corner... I like Jett, but that pass was pretty dirty. It could have been payback for something earlier in the race, but if it wasn’t, that was a dirty pass

Was unnecessary and then the podium speech made it worse. Give him a pass for being 17 but could’ve taken the high road during the speech to say he came in too hot but double down by saying he had to because he’s hard to pass...

What's that saying-- Paybacks a bitch. He's going to get punted in one of the next races.

Rest assured Mosiman will rough him up and put him on the ground sometime in the future, likely in a main where it counts for points. But rest assured Mosiman will eye him up at some point and get even.

It was a dumb move in my opinion. Ultimately he would have gotten around MM eventually, regardless of when though he wasn't going to catch the leaders. Now he's a marked man with a guy who isn't afraid to trade paint. That pass gained him two points tonight, but could lose him ~10 (or more) sometime down the road. Should be entertaining though.

Wait forever? He was just catching him. I’m all for hard racing but that was a clean out

Yup! He said Mosiman is a pain to get around so he had to make "a bit of a dirty move" to go by quickly. At least he owned it and didn't deny it like Forkner.

Hey it's racing it's not alway pretty, especially if your in it for a title. Was it a shitty move absolutely. Have I done that to make $25.00 more damn right I have. I would feel different if this was early in the race though.

An hey at least he owned up to it as well.

It looked like Jett was trying to center-punch Mosiman. Dirty move, too aggressive and uncalled for imo

I'm going to go with a stupid racing incident. He'll get payback from Mosiman (the stupid part), but he made the pass and stayed upright (the racing part).

I happen to think if that was Forkner, there would be a lot of pitchforks out about right now

On the more aggresive side yes, but I am sure the people who said Dylans pass on Craig last year wasnt dirty are saying this one is. Haha pick a side and giving a downvote to this is saying im right... *yawn*

I’ve hit a guy that hard for a plastic trophy. Supercross is the big leagues. Strike first, strike hard, no mercy.

Lying about an obvious aggressive pass = taking the high road?

No... he’s being transparent. Unlike “he fell over onto me taking us both out”.

Funny that he gets defended by people when he himself said it was dirty lol
It was a takeout plain and simple. I have no problem with that as long as it's not dangerous
Not sure Mosiman could have checked up like Shimoda. He didn't see it coming.

He’s young but he will eventually learn that you don’t help yourself by making enemy’s on the track. The first chance mosiman has to ruin jett’s points, you can bet Mosiman probably will take it. I would, I would mess with him every chance I got now. Clearly Mosiman is living in his head rent free if that’s all he can talk about during his interview for whatever reason. If Jett is smart he will move on and not let this linger.

I liked how it was honest. I’m glad for once one of these guys said “yeah, I had to make a dirty pass,” rather then saying “well, I cam in kinda hot and he fell over on me.” Race hard, make no excuses, and own up to moves/mistakes.

Meant more as a “my bad” type of apology for doing it

So will it also be "racing" when Mosiman takes him out in a future race, thus causing Jett to lose ground in the points race? Sure, it was just racing tonight. But it was dumb because its going to come back to him at some point.
