I like tradition and not big on change, but I love this schedule.
Obviously, I love always having a race a few days away. And I imagine for new fans, it helps keep their attention.
And as a by product, if they push Mx earlier into the year that may make it easier to get some American riders in des nations.
Not to mention, sx and mx are such mental sports where riders can get in their own heads too much. It seems like the smaller gap between races would help with that.
I know I am oversimplifying it and FELD has to figure out if it makes sense financially, but I hope they keep it.

Personally, I wish they would implement more of the "triple crown" format, with multiple mains. I know I'm probably in the minority with this one, but the heat races really don't do anything for me. I find myself much more interested when the races have more significance.
Feld believed it would work because there are stick and ball sports during the week and they get large crowds or even sell out.
Monster Jam works on week nights, so does all the other shows Feld does, so why wouldn't SX?
Be easier to get TV time too, not competing for Sat night air time against stick and ball

Doing it in the nationals and the GPs once everything is normal would be more difficult, but it's a big W if SX can continue like this when the world is normal.
For the teams, saving lots of money in fuel costs not having to drive every week. Becomes easier to coordinate & ship parts when they are stationary for longer. Less costs for flying riders and staff in & out each week, etc.
The big downside I see for the rider is not having a week to cover from minor injuries. IE Sexton right now...nothing broken but banged up badly. Crash out one night and then have to sit out the next race 4 days away because it’s not enough time to recover, championship hopes are essentially gone for the year. On the flip side, riders who have the momentum will look forward to racing with less time between.
One of the unknowns right now is how would this schedule work for in-person attendance when COVID restrictions go away? Could FELD sell more seats over 3 events at the same location rather than 1? I hate to even consider how FELD’s profit margins differ, but in reality, how much money FELD makes is a huge aspect of how the decisions get made.
